“Clean, efficient, conveniently located hotel, close to Penn Station”
Hotel is very close to Penn station, including LIRR, thus it makes an excellent place to stay for travelers departing from NEWARK or JFK airports. The hotel is clean, well maintained and good value for money (for the rate available). I would stay there again. Recommended. Kaare M. Norway
“Great Hotel; good breakfast; good location near Time Square”
Enjoyed my stay and have no problem recommending this hotel. Lobby was not very big but who stays in the lobby for any length of time. Great location and walking distance to Time Square and Brodway plays. I would stay there again.
“very satisfied”
recommended, especailly for the location
“It was OK”
If you're just going overnight or 2, with one other person then this is a great hotel. If there's 3 or more in the room it's too small. People were allowed to smoke during the breakfast right at the tables. This I found really odd. Some Italian lady, who I asked to move away from my table with her cigarette, continued to move closer to my table, and insisted the hotel staff said it was OK. So I had to inhale 7000 toxins during my breakfast because hotel staff approved. Not cool
“Not too bad”
Comfortable room, wobbly toilet seat; a bit of a wait at front desk for check-in.
“Clean hotel, Small Rooms, Nice location.”
The hotel is rather small, nestled in the middle of the street- so easy to miss. Nevertheless, it is nicely decorated and clean. It has a modern, New York feel in the lobby. The midtown location is great as well! For people travelling in their own car/rental car, there is a slight walk to the parking lot, and parking is pretty expensive. In general, parking in the city can be a small fortune for someone planning to stay for several days. Luckily, we only stayed for one night. Our room was in a rather weird location in the hotel- isolated, next to the internet café and restrooms on the second floor. When we first saw the room, it was kind of shocking that there is actually a room there. However, once in the room, it felt pretty private and quiet. The room was small as well, and the beds were small, but that is to be expected in the middle of Manhattan. We had small children with us, and hotel staff were nice enough to allow us to check out late, and were even forgiving when we were an hour later than the new checkout time. We appreciated this a lot. We got a great deal on this hotel, and would not hesitate to stay again when visiting NYC!
“Satisfactory”
There seemed to be a bit of confusion at check in and there was definitely no chance of checking in before 3PM. Once in, the room was clean and the bed extremely comfortable, although road construction during the middle of night was very loud, making it difficult/impossible to sleep. I guess that's why there is a white noise machine in the room. On day 2 after housekeeping service there were no bath towels left for us. I called the front desk and was told the person was on break and would bring some up in 15 minutes or so, a small but unnecessary inconvenience. Even though there is a taxi stand out front (always empty), and the brochure states that staff would assist with a taxi, we were told we had to walk to the end of the street to catch our own. The included breakfast was very good. I would consider staying again because of the price and the close proximity to Times Square.
“Comfortable, Clean and Convenient”
If you are a first time visitor to NYC planning to visit the major tourist sights, eat some great food, catch a Broadway or Off Broadway show and want to have a clean, comfortable room with a daily hot breakfast provided, then this may be the hotel for you. We recently returned from a 4 day vacation in NYC. The hotel is conveniently located in Mid-Town Manhattan. If you prefer public transportation over walking, all modes are easily accessible within half a block of the hotel. We arrived late the first evening and asked the staff for restaurant recommendations. The Italian Restaurant recommendation was outstanding. There is small restaurant is next door that has and outdoor seating area. We enjoyed cocktails and Tapas there one evening before attending a show. We will definitely stay here again.
“Great location”
Great location, definitely going to stay there again on my next visit.
“Best value for your money, hands down”
This hotel met my expectations and more. It was really neat and clean. The staff was really friendly, especially at the reception desk. The complimentary breakfast was typical with eggs, sausage and toast and bagels (freshly delivered every morning) and other popular breakfast items. They even have their own waffle maker! Our room was always cleaned and even slightly organized when we returned from our trip in the city. The only downside was that we didn't get much natural light since the hotel is right in between two taller buildings and when we asked to switch to another room that would face the street, the staff warned us that the street noises may be more troublesome than the lack of light. But other than that, everything was perfect!
