“Good choise”

The Hotel is very nice. The neighborhood is not the best, but this near to Soho, Little Italy. Good choice for few nights.

“not impressed like a hostel”

too bare bones-too hostel-dorm like- actually were a huge group of NYU students all hanging out in the hallways. Location was good- we changed hotels.

“Fantastic metro connection!”

My husband and I (62 & 58 years old) spent one week in this hotel. Although the surroundings and noise were not very satisfactory, we always felt secure to walk around. We even walked from our hotel to Brooklyn Bridge and the Financial District! And with the metro station we could reach every interesting place! What we missed was a place to have a good breakfast.

“Affordable Manhattan hotel in Chinatown, close to Little Italy”

Hotel Windsor was a clean and affordable hotel in Chinatown. Nothing special about the hotel, but no complaints either. The front desk staff was polite and helpful with a restaurant recommendation. The hotel was quiet and clean. It was conveniently located near the Grand St subway stop for the B and D trains. Little Italy was a short walk from the hotel (maybe 5 blocks away). I would recommend Hotel Windsor as an clean, affordable, no frills place to stay in Manhattan. If you're looking for something a bit more upscale, then this might not be the place for you. For me personally, I don't spend much time in my hotel room, so this place was more than sufficient for my needs.

“Good for a night”

Good location if you want to visit some sites and Little Italy.Chinatown smells but this room will do the trick for a quick trip.Small room but enough room for a place to crash!

“Funky Little Asia”

If you are looking for a fancy hotel, don't stay here. If you want to be smack dab in the middle of a largely Asian working class neighborhood, you're in luck. The staff is mostly very friendly, the subway is close at hand. Easy walk to Nolita, Soho, East Village. Use Yelp to find tons of good restaurants, bars, coffee shops etc. Place is clean and functional. Free wifi and AC (it was HOT)

“Very convenient location in Chinatown.”

This is one of the best locations in Chinatown. Rooms are normally sized for NYC and reasonably priced, compared to surrounding locations costing much more.

“Basic hotel”

My second time at this hotel in 6 months. It is a small locally owned/run hotel with 40 rooms. Nice and quiet, clean, basic hotel. Nothing fancy here. Great location on the edge of Chinatown and within easy walking distance of Little Italy, SOHO, etc. Since I like to walk, it's a great place surrounded by great food for me. Subway is across the street at the end of the block if you need to get around other parts of the city. The staff is quite helpful and will arrange a private car service to the airport or around the city whenever you want and it's no costlier than a taxi. There are nice little touches like shampoo, small packs of toothpaste and even small toothbrushes left in each room for guests. That being said, it was curious to me on this trip that there were no washclothes available anywhere in the hotel this week. Strange to say the least, like someone just walked off with all of them. I found that both odd and funny....and at times a nuisance when I really needed one. I will stay here again though.
