“A great location for a great value!”

A great hotel and wonderful location! Easy access to subway stop, and right in the middle of the action. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only downside is the size of the room. There were two of us, and it was snug in there. But honestly, we were only there to sleep, not like we were hanging out in the room. Would definitely stay there again, and plan on it!

This hotel has an ideal location, for a great price! I stayed 4 nights, and it was a very enjoyable stay. The hotel was very clean, and calm, the staff was friendly and welcoming to its guests. Any questions or needs we had were addressed immediately. I have no complaints about the hotel at all. The rooms were small, but kept clean and comfortable. I'd recommend this to anyone and will definitely be staying again.

Room was smaller than expected but served us well. If only there for a clean room and bed, this was it. Location is terrific.

“Great place!!!”

It's a hotel in Manhattan within walking distance of Times Square, Radio City Music Hall, and Broadway but far enough away that it's not super crowded and the prices of everything aren't jacked all the way up. Hotel is clean, there are guest bathrooms in addition to the one in your room on every floor, and the staff is nice. Maids keep the place clean and do a good job of leaving you alone if you sleep in late, just don't forget to flip the sign on your door so they know to come back and clean it after you head out. There is a door man to keep the riff raff out and the conceriege was really nice. There is also a nice sushi/sake bar in the lobby that is worth the price if you are into that type of food or wine. Overall I can't say enough. There's free Wifi and ethernet connections, a nice size tv with premium and local channels, and a fitness room. Rooms are decently sized for the area but are not really big. It's New York! You should not be spending much time in the room anyway. Bathroom may be a little on the cramped size but the guest bathroom in our hall was gigantic. I regret nothing about staying here and would do it again if I returned.

“Excellent location!! Clean and quiet.”

The location of the Washington Jefferson is outstanding.. a very quick, safe walk home from Broadway shows at night (without being in the middle of the craziness), and walking distance to the Museum of Modern Art, Rockefeller Plaza, Central Park and great shopping. Room was small and basic, but clean and quiet at night; found staff very friendly and helpful. It was peaceful to be on a residential side street (complete with flowering trees), with easy access to whatever you need:great restaurants, delis, drugstore, banks, etc. on the main avenues.

“Great hotel for couples”

Great hotel. Small rooms but excelent location, very friendly staff, and ver well kept. I recomend the WJ hotel, specially for couples or individuals.

“Petite hotel was a good deal!”

We were told at check in that this was a "petite" hotel and it is. We were there one night, so it was okay that the room was small - but if there is more than one person and you're in the room for a longer period of time, you may need something a bit bigger. It was clean and beautiful, on a quiet part of 51st Street, although street noise at night was loud. We asked for extra blankets just in case but found we didn't need them. Bed was comfy, bath was compact and gorgeous - loved the toiletries/amenities. No complaints at all as this hotel was very close to Times Square, the Theater District, and just a short walk to Rockefeller Center.

“great for everyone”

really nice staff and the hotel is located on in the heart of Manhattan! We loved this hotel and it was perfect for us. Also they have free WIFI :)
