“best location hotel for times square.”
very well situated, impressed with hotel right from the start, had a slight problem with room heating but was no problem getting it fixed, staff very helpful and friendly.very comfortable bed and pillows.recommend breakfast in hotel but you maybe be able to get cheaper down the road but you would not have the same comfort. overhaul very good cant wait to go back
“Great location but disapointing internally”
Great Location for Broadway and Times Square but the decor was a little jaded with dimly lit corridors and rooms that could do with a bit of attention. All the room doors seem to have a 'clunky' locking mechanism which makes it close with a bang. Consequently if you're on a busy floor the doors are banging all night long. The pool, whilst handy for relaxing could also do with a bit of work, especially the changing rooms. No bar or restaurant in the hotel, except for breakfast so I would rate this as a 2-3 star hotel in a great location.
“Excellent Location!”
Having read some of the other reviews before travelling we were a bit sceptical about staying there but after having been there for a week it makes you wonder whether these people actually stayed in the same hotel! Within 2 mins of leaving the hotel you are in the centre of Times Square & everywhere else is within walking distance. Okay you could hear people talking in their rooms but it wasn't as bad as some people are making out and it was very quiet at night. All in all we had no complaints at all & as for 'bed bugs' well that's just ridiculous, everything was spotlessly clean! Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!!!
“Loved it”
Just returned from Nyc. Had a great time as usual. Never stopped this central before but i must say the Manhatten at Times Square Hotel was fab. The price was very competitive for where the hotel is located. The staff were very polite and helpful when we needed advise or directions etc. The rooms were very clean if in need of a little updating. The coffee making facilities in the rooms were a godsend. All in all we had a fabulous time and had a great hotel as our base. Give the Manhatten Times Square a try and you wont be dissapointed.
“Can't wait to stay here again!”
I thought that this was a wonderful hotel to stay at! Everything was in walking distance and room was clean and beds very comfortable. I would recommend that you stay above the 12th floor for a great view. This was a safe neighborhood as well, and the hotel was very accessible. We plan on coming back and staying at this hotel again soon!
“Excellent hotel very central location”
This hotel is excellent value was extremely clean, had good reception staff and free Internet for guests. Location was very centralonly a short walk from the park and the Rockerfeller centre. The hotel is on top of time square which was handy for shops and theatre tickets but was very difficult to get though the crowds on a night when you'd had a long day. This was its only downfall for us but it really depends on what you are looking for.
“Great location, pool a bonus”
Having glanced at a Tripadvisor review, I was feeling a bit nervous. However, after a 6 night stay, would have no qualms in recommending this hotel to anybody visiting New York. Stones throw from Times Square, subway around the corner, two minutes from Rockafeller Centre, with a heated swimming pool for a wake-up dip or e relaxing chill at the end of the day (open 6am to 10pm). Would definitely stay here again.
“Perfect for a NYC break. Would definately recommend.”
Fantastic location. If you want luxury then book the Plaza, if you want a clean room, decent shower, comfortable bed, stones throw from Times Square then book the Manhattan at Times Square Hotel. Two blocks from 5th Avenue, about a 10 or 15 minute walk to central park and maybe a 15 minute walk in the opposite direction to Macy's. Subway station nearby, McDonalds just around the corner for a cheap and cheerful breakfast. I didnt eat in the hotel so I cant comment on the food. Free internet and you can print your boarding pass for your flight home in the hotel. Had a problem with the heating but the engineers were up and fixing it within five minutes of reporting the problem to the reception. Lifts are a bit slow but really that isnt a big deal. Would I stay here again? Hell yes, I could have stayed a lot longer and didnt want to go home. I was really impressed by this hotel.
“Meh”
Decent enough hotel... although not what I expected for the amount paid per night. We had a tiny room at the end of a hall that was maybe 200 square feet. Very few outlets and the power strip behind the table was about 25 years old and barely held a plug in it anymore, we had to charge phones in the bathroom at night because the charger kept falling out of power strip. I don't get how this is considered a 4 1/2 star hotel... most Holiday Inn Expresses are nicer. BUT.... Location is great however. If you want to be near Times Square and aren't going to spend much time in your room, this place will be fine.
“Location,Location,Location”
