“Reception staff unhelpful at check in”

Unhelpful staff when we checked in spoilt what would have been 100% satisfaction with the Belvedere. Spotlessly clean room and very comfortable beds. Helpful concierge and door staff. Excellent location. Lots of places to eat -recommend the Pigalle on 8th Ave. and the Amarone on 9th.

“Excellent experience”

We stayed in this hotel in September 2008. The room was very comfortable, great air conditioning system which was good as it was in the eighties at the time of our visit. The hotel is in a good area, close to lots of amenities and only a couple of blocks from Times Square. Special thanks to the Concierge who gave us information about everything we required.

“Excellent location, clean and good size room”

I don't do reviews, but was very impressed by this hotel. Lovely spacious (for new York) room on 2nd floor, clean and comfy Free wifi for my newly purchased iPad! Lea Staff all helpful and pleasant. Would definitely recommend and return again.

“I'd definitely stay there again...”

We thought we would save money by 4 of us sharing a 2xdouble bed room, and we were not disappointed. Yes, it was cosy for 4 people, but not at all uncomfortable. In any case, visiting NYC, you only need your room for sleeping! The bathroom was spacious and clean, there was plenty of storage space for all our stuff, a wee kitchen with a fridge and coffee making facilities, a safe in the room, iron, ironing board, tv, I could go on. Broadway / Times Square were about 15 minutes walk away. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and for the price we paid, I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. The concierge was particularly helpful, even directing us to a good nail bar for a pedicure!

“Newyork Newyork ! ! Excellent”

Hotel is clean, comfortable, just far enough away from timesquare to get a good nights sleep, butwithin walkable distance to all the attractions. The only complaints i have with this hotel is the lifts take ages to arrive on your floor and thethere is no air conditioning in the lifts or the corridors which makes it very uncomfortable in hot weather.

“Comfortable, quiet & superb location!”

We were pleasantly suprised at the quality of the hotel and in particular our room. We read some reviews that the rooms were small, but we did not think this at all. It was a perfect size and the bed was huge and very comfortable!! The location was perfect for Times Square and other attractions. Just 5 minutes away from Broadway and Times Square.

“Excellent location”

Location was excellent for getting to times square and bus station. Staff very friendly and helpfull.Having internet access was very usefull for on line checking in.Lifts are very slow, try the one at the Rockerfeller centre !! Overall an excellent visit we will be back.

“Great Location”

Hotel recommended by a friend, wasn't sure whether to book as some mixed reviews on website. However had a lovely 5 day stay all staff very friendly and helpful. The concierge was a wealth of knowlege. Had a double room for three of us ( myself and two daughters) room clean and comfortable, only on 6th floor so no view but didn't have to wait too long for the lifts! Hotel in great location only two blocks from Times Square/Broadway and easy to walk to most places or to catch the subway. If ever returning to New York would stay here again

“Can't wait to go back”

Stayed at the Belvedere Hotel 19-27th September 2010. This was our second visit to the Big Apple. We had an Executive King on the 15th floor. The room was excellent! Very spacious for New York City. The bathroom was lovely and there was even a small kitchen area with microwave. Hotel was conveniently located off 8th Avenue. Only downside was the 2 lifts - could be quite slow at busy times - although this was not a major concern. Hotel staff very friendly and always helpful. Would recommend this hotel and the pizza place 'Amadeus' on 8th Avenue.
