“Too far from Manhattan but near to subway station”
The hotel is very clean and the service is awesome. But the location is too far away from Manhattan. And the breakfast was delicious!~~~
“Convenient to airport and city”
We were very satisfied with this hotel location. Neighborhood was family oriented and we felt very safe walking to and from the metro which is about 3 blocks away. We were there on Halloween and the kids were out in droves. Didn't know what to expect but they were with parents and well behaved. We would stay there again. Getting to the area that the hotel shuttle picks you up from the airport was rather tiring but that is not the fault of the hotel. Going back to the airport was much better and he dropped us off right at the departure area. If you are going into the city this is an ideal place to stay.
“Good location affoedable air port hotel”
It is good to be abl eto be in bed before the early flight. Shuttleservice is convienient.
“Not bad”
I was just looking for a place to crash for a night before my early morning flight in JFK. It was rather easy to get to the hotel all you had to do was go to the federal circle and someone came to pick me up for free. Wifi in the room was pretty fast too and I have no real complaints about the hotel especially considering the cheap price. The surrounding neighborhood could be a little scary for tourists i guess but I lived in NYC long enough to not feel sketched out by such and such neighborhoods (jamaica, queens). This hotel is also on the mainstreet so theres plenty of restaurants, convenience stores and fast foods.
“Would Recommend”
We were in New York for just a few days. The hotel is just a few minutes away from JFK and a few short blocks to the metro made this hotel a very convenient place to stay. We arrived at 6:30am and the front desk were nice enough to hold our bags since it was too early to check-in and then we took the metro to Manhattan. The rooms were comfortable, continental breakfast decent, free shuttle to and from the airport. Fast food dining very close by. Neighborhood somewhat iffy, I wouldn't walk around alone at night that's for sure. All in all I would stay here again.
“Totally adequate for JFK stopover at a reasonable price”
Glad I did not pay any more for our overnight stay at JFK. Not happy that we had to connect with transfer bus at Federal Circle but was happy that shuttle took us directly to the Delta terminal in the morning.
“MBROKNI”
I did enjoy of this hotel. Very friendly, close to JFK airport and the transportation was free of charge.Everything was OK. But for any body who's gonna stay for more than one day in NYC, this hotel is far from the city. When I compare it with my later hotel in Manhattan, i.e, Hotel Carter, I think the former was heaven. I advise it to others.
“good location”
good location , free parking and nice breakfast to start the day.
“Great Value on a Budget”
The price was excellent for the region. Location was convenient: FREE shuttle to/from JFK. Shuttle to JFK leaves at the bottom of each hour. You must call from JFK for a pick-up. Depending on traffic, expect a 25-30 min wait so be flexible. The Jamaica/Archer station for the LIRR/Metro is only an 8 min walk. Also, at this station the E-Train only takes 23 min to get to Manhattan. The Air Train from JRK also goes to this station but that is $5/pp. The Motel is VERY CLEAN. I thought it was new but I asked and it is six years old. VERY WELL kept up. Next year it will be entirely SMOKE FREE! Room size; Don’t forget, this is some of the most expensive real estate in the US. The room size is good enough to walk around the bed in the dark without bumping into things. Free continental breakfast is all carbs. Hot waffles available on waffle maker. If you get tired of all carbs a McD is only a couple of blocks away. Many local eateries are an easy walk. Neighborhood is safe. I saw plenty of women walking around alone and no gangs. Many people don’t look beyond their prejudices. I walked to and from the train station morning, afternoon, and late at night. Free WIFI but no free internet on motel comp. Street (traffic) noise. This can be bothersome. I suggest you ask for a room higher up and facing the rear, which faces a quieter street. I was in a low room facing Jamaica Ave. However, after a while the street noise becomes "white" noise.
“Good Value”
The hotel provided very good value: it gave me a clean, comfortable well-appointed room with all the modern conveniences. Shuttle service to airport was good, but not too frequent. Lobby was tiny and unimpressive, but I didn't need much. Did not get a chance to sample services or refreshments. Neighborhood was not one that I would want to spend much time in.
