“great view shame abut the lack of comfy communal space”
The hotel is in a great location with good service to and from Manhattan. The hotel itself lacks communal space other than the restaurant where the service was poor (bar as we did not eat). The suite rooms are really comfortable with lounge space but when there are more of you in a group there was no comfortable communal space to meet. Loved Hoboken....especially Bin 14 restaurant, fantastic food and great service. Was disappointed with room service and lack of going that extra mile with service, when we checked out no one asked us if we had enjoyed our stay!
“Great Value”
would return
“"Not what was promised"”
The person I booked with on Expedia promised a skyline view of Manhattan from our room, that didn't happen. Plus I found out it costs 25 dollars a day to park in the hotel parking lot, honest to God I'm not joking. The suite had no sleeper sofa as promised. On the positive side the hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. The ferry into the city was right outside the hotel, convenient but pricey.Bus service was also within easy walking distance. Restaurant on first floor was pretty decent with a nice view of the city and river. It was my first visit to New York and next time I'll definitely stay in the city.
“Comfortable and Friendly :))”
Our Thanksgiving holiday was really comfortable in this hotel. The Staff always made us feel welcome and the views (especially at night) are to die for! The ferries are so convenient with free shuttles into the city on NY side. We spent a few evenings in Hoolaghans Restuarant just around the corner. The atmosphere in there is great and the menu is varied. The cocktails can pack a punch too!! Hoboken is just a short walk away with a great diner for breakfast there. The only downfall is that hotel is 20 mins drive from the airport but we hit Thanksgiving traffic and it took us well over an hour. We booked this trip 10 months before but found all three rooms were on different floors which was a nuisance at times :( Overall we had a brilliant time and I would stay there again, especially in spring or summer. Thank you Sheraton Lincoln Harbor.
“Thats my new hotel whenever am in town”
loved the view
“Very satisfied. Will stay again.”
Perfect location. Easy access to NYC. Nice room.
“Best View of Manhattan!”
Fantastic location, Mall a train ride away, great staff, great Manhattan view room, good gym and pool facilities, staff really helpful, busses and ferry ride away from New York City and a food court and restaurant just across the way if you don't want to eat in the hotel. Spend the few extra pounds to get a Manhattan view room, it's really worth it.
“with out a doubt i would go back , pay the extra and get the best view of NYC”
I could not fault the hotel we were there for 5 days found it a great place to explore NYC we did not go into the bar or the resturant we didnt need to there is a decent pup across the road and a deli with decent prices . The ferry is right next to the hotel which is about $8 one way but there is a free bus from the ferry which takes you to NY which is in the price but thr ferry is a must to do at least once there is also a bus stop outside the hotel which takes you into the city for about $3 to the port authority terminal where you can get to Times Sq etc either walk or take the subway .If you go to this hotel its best to pay extra for a skyline view you are opposite the Empire ,Chryliser etc and get the best view in town its well worth the travel from the hotel into the city everyday . The hotel has about 5 pcs in the foyer which is free and we never had any trouble finding a spare one to use we found the staff helpfull when we asked them for info there have got ferry/bus timetables at hand nothing was too much trouble We flew into Newark airport and got to the hotel by getting the subway into Hobken then a $20 taxi ride to the hotel but on our return we found a bus shuttle service from the port authoriaty treminal in NY to Newark for $15 which was the best way to do it the bus runs every 15 minutes you just turn up and wait for a bus.
“Great view of NYC and their parking lot. Now if they can only make into a decent Hotel.”
Rented their "suite". Disappointed to say the least. Basically the only positive attribute is their view of NYC which is spectacular but their parking lot cannot be removed from being part of the view. Better off on a warm night to simply take a walk. One of the TVs did not work. I was told they were sending an engineer. He never showed up. Ordered breakfast in Bed. Expensive and instead of sending nice chinaware or even your basic mug, we were sent paper cups to our "suite" to drink the coffee. Eggs were decent if you ate fast before they got cold. Toasted bread came wrapped which made it soggy. Coffee way to strong. Asked for hot water to dilute it. Took 1/2 hour to get to us after I pleaded for them to rush. Nothing within walking distance like a pharmacy. No gift shop within the hotel or within walking distance. What a waste of a great view.
“View not as advertised”
The hotel was very clean, with large rooms. We opted for the upgrade to get a Hudson river view - which we did, but most of Manhattan was obstructed by the hotel itself. Ferry was the best option for us everyday to get into Manhattan, which was right outside the hotel and ran every 15-20 mins. Didn't have any 'very' late nights though - not sure what time the last ferry was, worth checking before buying your tickets?.
