“Sheraton Reservations”

The only problem I have with the Sheraton JFK is that the french doors to the bathroom in the room do not lock nor do they really close properly. For those who are traveling alone or who don't care about privacy, this would not be an issue. However, I value being able to lock out the world, and take my shower or whatever. I do not like the feeling that one of the cute little french doors could swing open, and leave me exposed.

“Near JFK sirport”

Only stay one night and don't try to bring your dog to a room on the Club Floor. Oh, anbBe prepared to pay about 20USD if you park overnight.

All though the hotel is doing some spring repairs and updating there was no impact on the room..

“Needs maintenacne urgently - dingy corridors”

Cheap dirty carpets, bad elevators, dingy appearance. Not clean! Lobby, OK, but the rest is decidedly down-market. Not at all what you expect from a Sheraton. Stay somewhere else.

“A bed for the night.”

The room was nice. However the AC/Heater was broken, so you had to manually adjust the temperature instead of using the t-stat on the wall. Aside from that the room was clean, and the bed was comfy.

“Secure your items every night”

Booked for 2 nights, room a bit cramped but nice . After returning to the room on day 2, I admired how clean it was. Unfortunately, all of my items that were left in the room was gone, including clothes, toiletries, cologne, electric shaver. Luckily, I had my valuables, including my laptop, with me otherwise I fear that such would have been "lost" as well. I complained to the manager on site who spike to the cleaning crew. The manager said nothing was left in the room. Obviously, the room was emptied as if the guest had left and my items were stolen. The manager expressed regret and offered a free lunch. I declined . “Good hotel service, Bad shuttle service”

The hotel experience was fabulous, very comfortable and clean. However the transportation from airport to the hotel was horrendous, we waited an 1hr in the cold with 2 toddlers before a shuttle finally arrived...that was absolutely no fun. I think the hotel should have back up transportation when the primary vehicle goes down or coordinate shuttle service with other hotels..you can do it guys

“Not impressed”

*The pool area was not clean. *I satyed in the club level. The food service was terrible and the club facility was way below the standards.

“Beautiful rooms”

As we entered the Sheridan Hotel, we were welcomed with smiles. The room that we were assigned had a king size bed as suppose to two double. We went back to the lobby and in a couple of minutes, we were given a beautiful room. Comfortable, spacious, and clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family. Just a note. There is a fee for parking.

Area recommendations

In New York City, NY I would recommend time square or 42nd Street. It is full of life at all times of the day or night. As in every city, be aware of your belongings.
