We were at the hotel for very little time as we were in NY to see a ballet. The staff was awesome and the room was very clean. The location was perfect.

Dirty, outdated and unsafe electrical system.

Posted 19-Jul-2014
Pros: Location
The bathroom did not have an exhaust fan and it smelled like it had never been cleaned... ever. The bathroom door did not shut because the door was swollen from the humidity. Back-to-back showers created a steam room... in the bedroom! Also, there was no privacy. There was no electrical outlet to plug a phone charger into. The only available outlet was so old and worn that anything you plugged into it would immediately fall out. An extension cord was used to power a table lamp and alarm clock... The ironing board was broken/unstable and would only adjust to a height of 3 feet. There was no safe way to plug the iron in... the microwave GFI outlet constantly tripped even with using the microwave.

Great location, good hotel, just an older hotel

Posted 17-Jul-2014
I had a great experience there, but I did not spend much time in the hotel. The location was great and the hotel was good, but it was an older looking hotel.

Good Location - Large Rooms

Posted 16-Jul-2014
Pros: The size of the rooms and the location for the price.
Cons: Update the decor but then the price will increase to match.
Location: Subway, convenience stores, restaurants, Central Park nearby.
Whilst this hotel is on the older side, the rooms had plenty of space including a seperate lounge room in our case. The subway was nearby making travel around the city easy. Would definitely stay again.

Walking distance to Times Square

Posted 16-Jul-2014
Pros: location
Cons: A lot. See above comments question 2.
Location: Walking distance to Times Square, Rockefeller Plaza, restaurants shopping….
I chose this hotel because of its location. I knew it was a nice area and within walking distance of Times Square. My daughter and I were in NY mainly to see some Bway shows and to visit with old friends. I didn't need a "luxury" hotel, and based on the reviews I read I thought I was getting a little better than what I got. The hotel rooms are very "old". The bathroom was TINY and not updated, since the 70's; by the look of the tile on the floor. No central air, just a huge, loud air conditioner in the window. No amenities whatsoever withing the hotel.(which isn't so horrible considering it's NYC, after all) But when my daughter needed a fork, the hotel couldn't even provide her with one…I had to go across the street to a market and take a plastic one. It was adequate, at best, for our needs but wouldn't stay there again.

HUGE rooms! A real NY find

Posted 16-Jul-2014
On the door of Central park and within easy walk to Times square and lots of great eateries - this was a real find for us. We stayed in the family room with lounge/kitchenette - it was enormous with lots of room to spread out. Fantastic for families, thick walls and at the end of the corridor so also relatively quiet. Bathrooms and aircons need updating and looks and feels pretty run down so depends on your priorities - ours for a young family was space and the ability to have simple meals like breakfast in the hotel, so this was perfect for our week stay.

Disappointing

Posted 14-Jul-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Include free breakfast in the morning. Cab company providing services and airport service. Gym and a pool.
Location: Great location easy access to site seeing.
Wish hotel was more updated due to the fact of it great location. Lock on our bathroom door wasn't working, and had some paint damages. But overall my experience was acceptable.

Great location

Posted 14-Jul-2014
Cons: Great place to stay, but it must have WiFI in the hotel and i refused to pay $10 per day when i can get it free everywhere in New York .
Great pace to stay , close to subway and central park.
