Almost like staying with family (but better)

Posted 18-Dec-2014
Pros: Spacious, clean & comfortable rooms. Pleasant staff.
Cons: Decor update
Location: GREAT location in midtown Manhattan - close to all.
My stay at the Salisbury Hotel was very nice. The staff was super friendly & helpful. The hotel may need a bit of updating, as the decor is rather dated, but it is so spacious that you don't mind. Also, the place is SPOTLESS! Would stay there again & again!!

Everything is too old . It just be up to date like most of new York's hotels . Otherwise excellent location . Staff not friendly at all. Elevators too slow. Everything has a crack sounds because of the antique condition.

Nice hotel good location

Posted 18-Dec-2014
Pros: room size,good heating,clean,cost
Cons: breakfast could be better, rooms especially electrics need updating
Location: close to the park, 5th avenue shopping
this is a very dated hotel but has some of the largest rooms i have ever stayed at in New York. Rooms were clean and comfortable with coffee making facilities. There is a great deal of noise all night long if you get a street side room so ask for a rear room if possible. Breakfast is approx 14 dollars but not really worth it, find a local deli instead. Would i stay at this hotel again, definetly yes

Hotel close to everything

Posted 18-Dec-2014
Pros: Location and bell men were very helpful.
Cons: Free wifi-even if just in the lobby would help.
Location: Central Park, 5th avenue, Angelo's Pizza, Times Square, Bloomingdales. Almost everything is a 15 minute walk away.
Great trip! Christmas is a great time in NYC. Hotel is great location and it's our second stay.

A cavernous dump, but clean

Posted 17-Dec-2014
Pros: Great location and spacious. If it would have been just me and hubby or just me and adult daughter, the requirements would have been different.
Cons: Free WiFi
Location: Everything is nearby
I wanted a lot of space because it was a trip with our adult daughter and we do yoga. The place was huge and unrennovated but clean. Lots and lots of space, probably the same square footage as three normal rooms.

Older hotel off the main trek but convenient to main attractions. Room was a nice size. I would stay there again.
