An architectural masterwork for an efficient micro

Posted 20-Aug-2014
Pros: Modern, comfortable & efficient
Cons: Pool bar has all the ambience of a YMCA.
Location: Ideal location for Broadway theaters.
Great location, modern room. The room was quite comfortable, despite its micro-size. It could do without the pool/bar, which had the all the ambience of a YMCA. Good value.

Excellent location!

Posted 15-Aug-2014
Pros: Location, location, location. Good price. Rooms are not big but they had everything I needed in my room.
Cons: Bring earplugs, doing construction outside during the night, it was noisy.
Location: Close to everything.
Stayed at Room mate grace. Had a great time. Staff were very helpful. Close to everything. Restaurants, coffee shops right outside the hotel door. Did not rent a car, took shuttle to and from hotel. Times square was only steps away. Hop on tour buses steps away. Broadway shows within walking distance. When we went through customs, we are from Canada, the border patrol asked us where we were staying, I had to explain Room Mate Grace was a hotel and not my room mate, I thought that funny.

Disappointing after chic boutique pictures

Posted 11-Aug-2014
Rooms are smaller than expected and a little tired. Checked out early as bunk bed room was way too small for two plus child with little to no floor space and bunk bed just does not work making the lower king size bed all enclosed and not relaxing. Overall the room was not terrible but did not live up to expectations pool looked cool but did not get to experience it as we checked out early

Decent.

Pros: location
Cons: Water temperature in shower. Warn guest of the light in the pool
Location: Very close to Times Square.
Everything was ok. Nothing spectacular. Room was clean. Shower water was scalding hot. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Beware of the protruding light in the pool. I was walking in the pool and hit it with my leg which left a pretty bad cut.

Nice hotel close to Times Square

Posted 29-Jul-2014
I stayed here on a recommendation from a friend and was not disappointed. The room was small (as expected in NYC) but definitely big enough for the two of us as the platform bed provided lots of room for luggage storage. Shower was wonderful! Bathroom could use a bit of updated paint, but was clean. Wifi was included. There was a safe in the room and a mini fridge, both great assets. The pool was small but a nice addition in a hotel just off Times Square. Complementary secure baggage storage available was very useful and convenient! Overall great stay! Staff were very pleasant and helpful!

Only complaints are there was no ice bucket in room and platform around bed was a little difficult to navigate for two older people.

Never AGAIN!

Posted 09-Jul-2014
Pros: The front desk man was the only redeeming quality
Cons: Everything!!
I do not have any idea how this place managed to get 4 stars!! The room was tiny, dark, and dingy feeling. The bed was uncomfortable and there is no view to speak of. The noise in the hallway was so loud, every time someone went in and out of another room I felt like someone was slamming the door right next to me. I will never ever stay here again. The paint was chipping, the carpet was frayed, and I felt as though I should have been wearing flip flops in the shower. GROSS!! The gentleman at the front desk was very nice, he was the ONLY good thing about this place. Oh yeah, they told us they upgraded our room from a standard to a deluxe at no extra charge- seriously?? I would hate to see a standard! Spend the extra money and stay someplace else. This was awful!!!!!
