“Frustrating”
They did not speak English. The first thing they did when I got there was try to give me a headache. And they tried to refuse a simple request which they had already agreed to.
“Low price & quality. Smelly”
Did I mention smelly??
“Pretty good for the price”
I think this hotel was very good on the price and ideally located with reference to the subway, but the surrounding neighborhood was extremely sketchy. The major problem with this hotel is the absence of internet. It may seem like a small price to pay for such a good price, but trust me it was extremely difficult to survive without any internet for four days unless you'd walk to the McDonald's down the road, which again would mean walking through the sketchy neighborhood.
“Really Disgusted”
The attitude of the staffs was not friendly at all. There is no coat hanger/closet in the room. Drawers were dirty, and the owner expects us to put our clothes in there. It's really disgusting. Stay away! And I booked for a queen size bed, and I got a full size instead. Upon the complaint, he said "that's the queen size." I know when I see one. Be that as it may. Also the towels in the bathroom are dirty, and the shower and sink don't work well. Had to wait at least 20-30 minutes for the water to go down the pipe. One of the lamps doesn't work in the bedroom. Bottom line, it was my worst hotel experience for this visit. Moved to another hotel in another location. Comfort Inn...Much better choice!!
“Not Impressed and will never go back”
When you are going on family vacation, especially when you have 2 children under 12yrs old, you know that there will be high espectations and a lot of questions will be asked. it was shocking when we arrived at our hotel and we are at the reception to check in and the gentle man at the desk left us standing and chatting on the phone (bad customer service) Registration completed, and we were handed keys to our room, on entering the room, we realised that the room did not meet our requirement which was earlier communicated to through our reservation and the room was smelling. Our room was changed at my request and in the evening when my children wanted to shower, we realised that the showerhead in the bathroom is leaking water all over the bathroom. I notify the reception twice before they sends a handy man and it took more than one and a half hours with more than 3 calls to sort showerhead. The complimentary breakfast was a washout and the location was nothing to write home about. This is another customer who will never recommend this hotel to anybody or return to this hotel.
“One word, awful.”
I hated everything about the hotel. From the odor to the burnt sheets. The surrounding neighborhood seemed really dangerous.
“Prime Location to Meet Bed Bugs...”
The discounted price definitely does not make up for the lack of cleanliness and comfort. The room led like urine, there were holes in the walls, the cover for the jacuzzi tub was missing and you just got a feeling that fleas and bed bugs were going to overwhelm you whenever you were in the room. Staff was rude and discourteous. The hotel policy offered no refund even though we never stayed at the hotel due to the unsanitray conditions. This hotel will make you want to spend $250 a night in an established Manhattan hotel.
“Ed Berdugo”
I am a frequent traveler to New York City and have stayed in the past in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen vicinity hotels for their proximity to Grand Central Terminal, 42nd Street and Broadway’s theaters. Then, this past week, I discovered Brooklyn and the Red Caret Motel. Please be mindful of the word “motel.” The Red Carpet Motel, as for example Motel 6, offers the travelers with the basic conveniences of location (to catch the subway), restaurants (to dine in or have it deliver), and the neighborhoods' gas station with its Mini Mart just next door. By the way, it does not take long for one to get familiar with the subway system running 24/7. The staff was great, attentive and helpful. They were great helping me with the free Wi Fi connection by providing me with a cable a needed for a better a stable connection. The morning’s free breakfast was tempting with assorted doughnuts, bagels with cream cheese, and an amazing coffee machine that prepares your coffee to your individual taste. The room was spacious with a comfortable queen size bed, a night stand, a desk with a chair, and the armoire with the big TV. The bathroom is equipped with the most modern water saving features like the spigot with its magic golden round controller that you must pull down to route the water to the shower head. I won’t tell you about the powerful flush down force of the toilet. TIP: Bring your own shampoo.
“clean, inexpensive, convenient”
not a 5 star - but when you need to go to NYC this is a clean, inexpensive and convenient place on the metro system (the L is just out the door and down the stairs!) basic, free parking, helpful staff. NYC on a budget. we have stayed here 3-4 times now.
“it was nasty what more can i say”
I have nothing to say about that hotel
