“Great views and great location”

When we checked in, they gave us a very small room with one small window that smelled like cigarette smoke. I went down to concierge and asked for a new room. He gave me a room on the 20th floor that was a corner room and three times the size of the first room. The bathroom was a little small and old but clean. The room had three windows overlooking Lexington ave and the upper East Side. The bed was very comfortable and the decor had a modern theme. Great price for a very decent room. Starbucks was attached to the lobby which also was a plus.

Area recommendations

Near all shopping and restaurants. Relatively safe.

its right at the heart of manhattan and the proximity to any shops or location in manhattan is awesome.

When to go

the best time to travel is the summer period as it gives you opportunity to move around without too much inconvenience or bad weather. it also afford you the opportunities to buy most of those labels you ve being eyeing at a highly discounted price. and if you are the type thats not averse to the weather, thanksgiving /xmas period is the best holiday season. the mood is exciting same goes for the atmosphere.

“convenient”

We stayed in a 2 bed room. Room was tiny and beds were also. Its close to most attractions. A bit pricey for the accommodations but overall average.

“Not comfortable but good location”

The beds are awful here! The sleep number bed is supposed to be comfortable, but I felt like I was sleeping in a cot. The carpets are dirty, and the rooms are very small. Not impressed. Friendly staff!

“Good Value For Money”

The Radisson is in an excellent spot in Manhattan and the hotel is of good quality. The shower in my room was the only major let down, very low water pressure and one night the water was cold ! ( it was 3am however so perhaps there was maintenance going on.) I was disappointed with the high cost of the internet in the hotel, which if you were a loyalty card member was free ( as it was in the lobby). I would stay here again and the quality of the bed was excellent.

“Really nice place. Would definitely return there, if budget allows, get the Junior Suite.”

The porters, bellmen, check-in staff and concierge were excellent. The room was nicely decorated. Very convenient to The Rockafeller Center, lots of shopping and a wonderful dining venues. Two thumbs up!

When to go

We went after Thanksgiving and were there for the Christmas tree lighting at Rockfeller center. It was breath taking!

Getting there

Jet Blue. They have an excellent Service staff, very friendly, they offer nice meal packages, no baggage cost, televisions on each seat, and direct flight from New Orleans. Clean plane and a lovely concourse at JFK airport.

Getting around

Walking is easy, but the subway transit is very efficient. The hotel has transportation available tto the airport, which is very competitive with the cab rates, but in a really nice vehicle.

What to pack

If you go in the winter, layer your clothing, as you get warmed up with brisk walking. A hat is not a bad idea.

Must see

Grand Central Station, the Today show (bring or design a clever sign). There's a Staples within walking distance if you want to create one while in New York. Go to the Empire State Building, do the Sky rider experience. Central Park, Battery Park, the Statue of Liberty, the World Trade Center, site (security is tight and it may take a while), see a show, Lion King is excellent, Times Square is very lively at night. The NBC studio tour is great, you get to visit the set of Saturday Night Live. Just to name a few.

“Great Time”

Super location. MInutes walk to Rockefeller Center, Bloomingdales, or Macy's. A little more of a walk to Times Square, but doable. Nearby restaurants are great. Chinese upstairs is awesome! Across the street at the Lexington Brass great eats too.

The overall review is a positive evaluation, but the room is really small, it could be smaller furniture (not the bed) to have more space inside.

“My favourite NY hotel”

I travel to NY on business every 3 months or so, and the Radisson Lexington has become my 'regular'. The service is very friendly & helpful, the location is great, and the prices aren't too bad. That's an unusual combination for Manhattan!
