“Good location”
The 1 3 days of stay the bed was lumpy but the cleaner made a real effort to make it comfortable. Housekeeping should have changed it. Concierge esp the one on duty at night is not very helpful and tends to be quite abrupt with his replies. Gave us some some wrong answers on a location that we wanted to go too.
“Dont go there”
Noisy neighborhood. Rude staff. Dont go there.
“Awful”
Yes, I agree it is an inexpensive hotel, but it doesnt have to be trashy. I am a cheap guy who likes value. People who say that they got what they paid for are wrong. This hotel is a lot less than what you pay for. Internet is NOT free - they charge 7$/day. The pillows were awful. The bathroom was stinking. The phone did not work and ride to airport was 10$ per person ( taxi is cheaper!!!). Pay a little more and you can get a better hotel with free breakfast and free internet. My neck still hurts because of the terrible pillows
“Dissapointed”
the room that i got has a sign for disabled, it has a walk in shower, i took a bath and the water went all the way outside the door, floor outside the bathroom is all wet after i took a bath, need to put the towels on the floor to pat it dry.
“Great hotel, convenience and nearby convenience malls and subway stop”
Convenience location, nearby subway/bus stop, and certainly the Queens Center mall is nearby the hotel! Great stay for a few days stop in NYC!
“Didn't expect much, but still disappointed”
If you're looking to spend time in manhattan, this is not the place to go. Subway station is far and its 30-40 minutes on cab or subway to downtown. There's nothing to do nearby - only diners and wednys. The service is also very poor and rooms are not worth the money. A cheaper hotel with lower rating won't be any worse than this one.
“Don't bother”
This place is filthy. The sheets are dirty with hair all over. The bathrooms don't have adequate ventilation. There is a subway station about 5 blocks away but it takes almost an hour to get to Times Square.
“very bad”
bad hotel
“Ok If you want easy access to subway and want to stay for short period only .”
Hotel is near to subway which gets you into Manhatten and other areas easily. Hotel is old and although clean, there is a dingy dark feeling about the place. The maids clean rooms and bathroom daily and provide fresh towels, not sure if beds were changed daily. Although room was clean there is a musty , damp smell as you enter the room. Staff members are efficient but unfriendly . There is free WIFI in the lobby but you are 'cut off ' after 20 minutes- However there is a' hotspot' for those with own laptops so if you want to use the computer bring your own ! There is a restaurant on site which looked equally dreary but there are two restaurants and two fast food restaurants in the locality. Easy access -walkiing distance to local plaza. All in all I would use the hotel again for short stay and for its central locality and for the free pick up from airport (JFK and La Guardia) to hotel. Transport back to airport is available at a small cost. PS Make sure you go to and return from JFK airport and NOT Newark which is a long way and although hotel will get you to Newark, shuttle is not available and the cost is one hundred dollars.
“Very convenient”
Very friendly hotel staff and convenient location. Hallways smell like cigarette smoke =/
