I understand New York hotels are small. And that is fine. But this hotel was so small we couldn't even move around without bumping into something. When you opened the bathroom door you hit anyone standing at the sink. The bed wasn't very comfortable. And the heat was broken. I wouldn't ever stay here again and I certainly wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone else. Other than the great location, this hotel was not pleasant.

Very small and outdated, especially for NY

Posted 19-Feb-2015
Pros: staff
Cons: size of room, noise coming through rooms. TVs and bathrooms should be updated.
Location: walking distance to times square
You expect small rooms in NY but the first thing you notice is how small it is. Its so small, they skip the basic things, such as a closet and ice container. They had to use a curtain for a closet door because of how small it is and there is no space for anything. Small even by NY standards, but that is livable for a night. The surprising part is the super outdated TV. It's basically the 1st generation flat TV that is very "staticy" and unclear picture. If you have to kill time in your room, your TV may only be good for sound. Lastly, my fiancé and I heard everything in the hall and the rooms next to us. It seemed like the walls were paper thin. She's a heavy sleeper so it was surprising that it kept her up. And I read in a review before I booked the hotel that the heater was noisy, and it REALLY was. So loud, it sounded like a generator. Staff was great and friendly but i'll stay at a Hilton or Sheraton next time.

All about the location

Posted 05-Feb-2015
Pros: location
Cons: everything else
This hotel simply gets 3 stars from me because it is right in the center of times square, other than that I would not like to stay here again. The lifts are extremely small, the whole hotel has a weird cologne odor and the rooms are super dark! also bathrooms have no heating inside so during winter it was almost impossible having a shower

Unbeatable location!

The hotel is nicely decorated and modern with a good price tag for the location. It's within walking distance of Central Park, Broadway shows and right around the corner from Times Square. It's also close to the subway if you want to shop downtown at Macy's. The only thing I wish we had was free Wifi in the room (only free in Business Center) and they had more counter space in the bathroom. For women with makeup and curling irons, it's a little bit of a juggling act to get ready, but well worth it for the price and location.
