“Will definitely stay there again!!!”
This is the second time we have stayed there and both the hotel and the staff are brilliant-nothing is too much trouble. Perfect location in times Square and won't hesitate to book again.
“This is right in the middle of Times Square and we cant fault it”
Excellent location. Right in middle of busy Times Square but rooms very quiet. Lift system is amazing and staff are great. make sure that you go to The View to experience the revolving restaurant and bar. One small pint is that there is no fridge or bottled water in the rooms
“Fantastic Location, Fantastic Bed!”
Fab stay over new year. Great service, good vibe, excellent location and the best bed we have EVER slept in!
“Fantastic Location”
What a fantastic hotel to stay. Right in the heart of Times Square. It was easy to just pop out do some shopping then take it back to the room. It was as good as a 5* hotel over here. Although there are coffee making facilites in your room, if you are a tea drinker take a travel kettle.
“Times square Hotel”
Excellent location if you want the buzz of New York
“Fab Hotel, will definately stay there again! most comfy bed ever - wanted to bring it home :)”
The Hotel was right in the heart of Time Square, we were there for a celebration and the hotel staff spoilt us. The View restaurant is definately worth a visit, especially for a special Occasion, it was my husband's 50th birthday and our 25th Wedding Anniversary and the waitress and waiter made sure it was an occasion to remember - excellent friendly service. The lifts were excellent - I normally hate lifts but the glass ones were not scary at all - once you got used to them. It was a holiday of a life time and we would not stay in any other hotel in New York, nothing would quite live up to the memory.
“BEST HOTEL IN TIMES SQUARE!!!”
Stayed here for 5 nights in October, fantastic hotel in amazing location, its worth upgrading to a times square view room as views are stunning. Hotel room was very good, with flat screen tv, sofa and the biggest bed I have ever seen. The hotel is huge with around 1900 rooms, but despite the awesome size of the hotel the staff are very friendly and go all out to make you feel valued hotel guests. Location of this hotel is fantastic, you are in the heart of broadway/Times Square. Overall, fanastic hotel in awesome location! Ps, it also has the best lift system I have ever seen!
“Amazing !!!”
WE had a family holiday with our 9 year old and this hotel is great - you wont beat the location. Room was very spacious. Hotel was always clean and service was outstanding. The hotel is big and very busy so its all go, but we never had to wait long for service in reception and bars. I was worried about chaos on the lifts after reading other reviews but they were not a problem and our young daughter just loved the glass lifts! If you want to save a few dollars goto to Juniors Diner (just a few yards from the entrance) - this was the best food we had in NY and probaly the cheapest.
“superb location for everyhting new york”
Stayed at the Marriott Marquis with two teenaged children (18 and 15) for 5 nights. Check in was a breeze - the lobby is on the 8th floor accessed by glass elevators, so every ride is accompanied by a smile as you whizz up or down. A rollaway bed was provided within an hour of asking and the room was sufficiently spacious for three. Floor to ceiling windows looked out on Times Square, which looked like a fantastic movie set. Bathroom basic but plumbing worked efficiently and the maid kept it clean and replenished towels and toiletries daily. Air con (temperature outside was 90 plus) was quiet and effective. Staff were unfailingly helpful and human! Best of all, being in Times Square meant that all tourist attractions were a healthy walk or (cheap) cab ride away (though the taxi drivers sped through the traffic as though they were in a car chase). Hotel food good and reasonably priced. Juniors Restaurant across the way was great for brunch. 8th floor bar with panoramc views of TS was friendly. Did usual tourist stuff, though simply getting a cab over Brooklyn Bridge and enjoying the stunning views of Manhattan walking back was a favourite. Best freebies - Central Park and the Staten Island Ferry. Did Empire State in poor visibility - couldn't see the reputed eight miles but the mist made the sight of the city in the twilight incredibly atmospheric. Lombardi's Pizza in Spring Street was excellent - be prepared to queue. I'd certainly stay at the Marriott Marquis again.
“Fantastic!”
Took my mum for a shopping trip for her 60th birthday. The hotel and all the staff couldn't have made us more welcome. The room was really comfortable and a good size, food was of an excellent standard. We both had a fabulous time. New York is a must for shopping and sight seeing. Can't wait to go back
