We had a problem getting the Internet even after calling about it several times. In this day and age internet should be an easy included convenience for guests. Check-in on Thursday at 5:30 pm was very lengthy. Once we got an agent, she was quick and efficient, but there was only one agent working our line and that took a long time.

This place was not great. Service was pretty slow and everything had some sort of extra fee associated with it. I guess that's what you get with a "budget" $300/night room. I never expected to have to pay $11/night for wifi in a hotel, even McDonald's has free wifi. Maybe it's just a New York thing but it truly felt like they just roped me in with the room and made me pay for EVERYTHING that I needed on top of it. Also be careful, they charge an extra $35 on top of the nightly room as a "destination fee" but you can use it as credit towards room service/dining/wifi.

The hotel’s location is incredible. I have stayed twice. The only issue with this stay was hidden fees at check out and two elevators not working.

For the most part we had a great stay at New York Hilton Midtown. We had one frustration, however, the hotel was changing locks on all the rooms on our floor. For the next 3 days we had difficulty getting into our room daily, sometimes more than once a day, which required a trip downstairs to the front desk each time to get the keys recoded.

Overall, property was nice and in a convenient location. There were some issues with my room key not working on the second day, but staff was very kind and helping to resolve the problem. It did feel somewhat that they were understaffed as the lobby would at times be quite busy given the size of the hotel.

1) We asked for an allergy free room. After three follow up, they said they will accommodate the request, but they didn't. 2) a four star hotel had no refrigerator, coffee machine, or even a tea bag in the room, just a plane bed to sleep. 3) the room needs a renovation. Most furnitures are damaged and were in bad shape..

It was a great location. We were participating at a performance at St.Thomas Church. Saw the Tartan Parade. Nice hub to other iconic locations. Staff was great. Love the fresh linens daily.

Our room was comfortable, other than having a tiny bathroom. And the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. Still, we would never stay there again. We stood on long lines to check in and to store our luggage when our room wasn't ready. Worst was the line to store our luggage again when we checked out (Sunday noon) -- about 50 people waiting! We also didn't appreciate being subject to a "destination charge" requiring us to spend $35 on food during our one-day stay and the crowding on elevators. Next time we're in Manhattan, we'll pick a small hotel -- much more civilized.

When we checked in they did not have our rooms. Said they gave them away. We not room available was a king bed with a couch pull out. This was not what we paid ahead to have. We wanted the two beds. They did offer no charge for the resort fee but acted like this was all Expedia’s fault. This was very expensive and sad that they were so flippant and blaming Expedia.

The room was ok. Did not come with mini fridge or coffee machine, had to pay to have a fridge brought up. For the price of the room, that is ridiculous. Parking was double what we expected, $85 for the night. Otherwise, the hotel was in a great location, easy walk to Central Park and 5th avenue.

Can’t best the location! We were at this very large, full hotel during the bustling spring break travel season. It took a looong time to check in & front desk experience felt a bit like the DMV. Very odd/off/disinterested vibe compared to the rest of the hotel personnel. The restaurant food was quite good & all the restaurant staff & business center staff were amazing!

Super location very close to Central Park. Easy walk to Times Square and super safe! Close to subway to get to 911 memorial with one train. Did not like that the large groups took precedent over us getting the room we booked although they did comp the facility fee and one night stay when they asked what they could do to make it better along with a 35 dollar card to use daily at restaurants and food store.

We arrived at hotel around 4pm and waited about 50 mins to check in. Then, we were told that the room wasn't ready and needed to be cleaned. At 10:10pm, we finally got the keycards without an apology and instructions to the room or Wi-Fi service. The worst part was, when you came back to check if the room was ready. They asked you to go back to the check-in line and wait again. For a price of $481/night (not including fees), the location of this hotel was the only value we feel was worth it.

Location is amazing, easily walkable to Times Square & Central Park. MOMA literally across the street. The front desk staff were tired, dismissive and rude. Not one friendly person at front desk. The restaurant staff were happy and polite. The walls throughout the 20th floor were peeling and cracking. Rooms were great. The lobby and lobby restrooms were unkept. Overall good for the price. Room size bigger than most NYC hotels.

The housekeeping was terrible. Our room had old food left in the fridge and housekeeping came every morning before 9 am and unlocked the room without knocking while we were still in it. There were no linens for the pull out bed and it took multiple calls to get a response. Housekeeping also did not make up the bed just left it in a heap.

Would never stay here again. The rooms are very run down and look nothing like the advertised images. There is peeling wallpaper in the bathroom and even mold under the soap dispenser. The elevators are always packed full and you have to wait 10-15 min to even get on an elevator. The lobby is very loud and check in staff are not friendly at all. They just do the bare minimum and nothing else. The hair dryer was so dirty when we turned it on it started smoking and smelled terrible. I was disgusted and completely disappointed that this place called themselves a Hilton. Do not recommend
