“Breakfast Offering is not accomodating”
I drive charters and I was in your hotel on Dec 2-3-4, 2011. I had to leave early in the am each morning. I went down to the Dining area at 7:00am only to be told I had to sit down and eat I couldn't just fix myself a bagel or a piece if toast and take it with me to get on the road to NY. I ask her why and she said it was policy. I AM A DIABETIC I NEEDED CARBS FOR MY DAY IN NY. She would not let me have anything but coffee. I paid for the room and was hoping for the breakfast to start my day. I was very aggrevated and disturbed about this. I also did not have a micro and fridge in my room. I travel alot and bring a load of people with me when I come, I will NEVER bring anyone to your hotel again, and nor will I advertise for your hotel anymore!!!!!!!
“Too noisy”
I would not recommend this hotel because both sides are closed to high way. When we stayed there, the outside wall is on repainting. We are awaked by noisy drill in early morning.
“Loved it!”
Even though renovations were going on the staff made our stay so pleasant and were very accommodating. The shuttle drivers were great and if we needed a taxi the hotel called one for us. The hotel was so close to malls and the train station, too. We left a book for the staff but they thought we forgot it and even called us to ask if they could mail it to us! We loved the food in the restaurant too! The room was comfortable and clean and the whirlpool was so nice to relax in after a busy day sightseeing in New York City. We would defnitely come back in a heartbeat! Thank you!
“Everything we expected and more”
This hotel provides an excellent option for those wanting to travel to the New York/New Jersey area. The hotel provided an economically feasible choice for attending a game at the New Meadowlands stadium and/or travelling into New York city. The complementary shuttle was excellent, (you are required to follow their schedule and be aware that it maybe busy with other guests) and provides access to public transit that makes travelling to NYC simple. The complementary breakfast was not extensive but functional for starting the day. The staff was friendly and helpful. Although I had some trepidation based on other reviews I had read, this hotel offers great value. I would agree that this is not a five star hotel, but if you are looking for a clean and safe place to sleep after exploring the NY/NJ area I would recommend this hotel.
“Secaucus NJ trip”
The Hotel was clean, however, it was located in an area not easy to get to. There were no resturants close by so if you did not have a car you ate in there 1 resturant / bar or had to take a cab. The bed was NOT comfortable and the pillows were as hard as a rock. They did have a good breakfast buffet.
“Not the best”
Spontaneous shuttle which is unavailable when you need it most. Besides a few genuine exceptions staff were generally unhelpful. You get what you pay for.
“Very Friendly clean hotel”
Very friendly hotel staff, convenient to Manhattan, although remember if your'e driving you pay toll which just went up to $12 everytime you go into New York. Hotel was perfect in all ways. Full breakfast, very clean room, everything perfect for the price will return again.
“Way to go”
We arrived at Newark Int. Airport and found taxi cost more than $49 to our hotel, we phoned our hotel to see if there was a bus shuttle service, staff were helpful and guided us to take a NJ transit from the Airport to Secarcus Station then call a number which they provided for pick from the train station. Trains cost us $24!! (two adults). When we arrived at our hotel the staff were friendly and checked into our clean room. Good comfy beds and Breakfast was very good. The shuttle service was very handy for local shopping and use of train station. NYC not far away from Secarcus only one stop by train and 8 miles by road. We enjoyed our stay especially seeing most of NYC and Liberty Park.
“OK for a night but there are better choices in the area”
It's OK for the money, but there are better choices in Meadowlands area close to NYC. This was an old hotel, not that cheap, and in a boring location. My rating of 3 is closer to 2.5, but not a 2.
“This Hotel is Just OK”
Hotel is just OK. I have an alergy to cigarette smoke, especially the kind that has soaked into walls and furniture. I asked for a non-smoking room and technically got one - the little sign outside the room said so. Though the smoke residue in the room was light it was enough to make my eyes water. Because the hotel was full I could not change rooms.
