Clean but noisy and staff couldn't be bothered

Posted 20-Oct-2014
Reception staff could use some training on being welcoming and courteous. They appeared thoroughly non plussed about any issues we might have, not impressed. The room was tiny but clean and comfortable. We were put right outside the elevator and the noise was bad. The shower flooded every time we used it. Not great for over 400 a night.

Bad service, not even room cleaning

Posted 12-Oct-2014
Pros: Reception staff
Cons: Yes , you guys need to work hard to improve this hotel , service ,etc.
Booked 1 room for 2 people. Got 1 room for 1 person. No room cleaning as well. I was able to hear my neighbors like they were sitting int he next room. The restaurant (didn't had any veggie menu) after I got my food and asked for plates, and cups my request was just ignored.

Very slow check in and check out. Some staff very warm some not helpful or accommodating at all. Good location but parking very inconvenient. Probably wouldn't stay here again. Definitely wouldn't pay full price for a room.

Incompetent management. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

Posted 29-Sep-2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Service
Not long after arriving at out room, a maintenance person barged in, surprising us. He was surprised too, because he did not expect anyone to be in that room, and management had not informed him their were guests there. But he left amicably. The next morning I realized why he had come - the shower stall leaked water over the floor. The walls are also so thin that you can easily hear people in the next room. Management also bills your credit card for incidentals - but won't refund your card until many days later. I'm still waiting for this deposit to be refunded. If you're coming to New York City, there are plenty of better places to stay in this area (I recommend the Bryant Hotel).

Tiny room well placed

Posted 29-Sep-2014
Pros: Its central location. It was an easy walk to Penn station and the metro.
Cons: The room could not be any smaller and still fit a bed. The bed was a double & there was only just enough room to walk around it. Nothing was included.
Location: We walked everywhere. The Empire State Building is only a couple of blocks away.Try the High Line- it is an oasis and an easy walk.
We got a special Expedia deal for this hotel. Even so we thought it was very expensive- the taxes take the base price up enormously. The hotel is well-located and clean but we thought the room was extremely small. There is no fridge, coffee-maker or free water. There is a safe to secure valuables.

Good location, reasonably priced.

A great modestly priced midtown hotel within walking distance of Penn Station and a host of New York landmarks. We stayed in "Cosy" rooms, which turned out to be very small, but contained everything we needed.

Hotel Under Construction...wish I knew.

Posted 11-Sep-2014
Pros: clean room. comfy bed
Cons: tell the customer if you had under crazy construction. Don't say you have a gym if you have a treadmill in an empty hotel suite. no resturant or any
Location: decent local. it's nyc so you can't beat it.
After doing a bunch of research I settled on the Martha Washington, King and Grove or whatever they are calling the hotel this week. First of all the Staff was great. Very friendly and accommodating. Yet, there was very much they could do to make my stay acceptable. The hotel was under construction and the rooms were tiny. But clean and nice. The bed was comfy....other than that there is nothing else going for this hotel that it has to offer. 500 bucks a night for nothing but a bed.
