MUY BONITO Y AGRADABLE.

Posted 26-Feb-2015

Not Worth the Price

Posted 21-Feb-2015
Pros: I enjoyed the downstairs restaurant and the central location of the hotel.
Cons: The facilities, such as windows and heating, certainly need improvements.
Location: There are good restaurants around the hotel, and it is close to good shopping and the business district in Manhattan.
I arrived to this well decorated hotel to check in and was given a room with a faulty window that wouldn't fully close, letting in cold winter air and traffic noise. Then I was put in the room next door, also with a faulty window. Lastly, I was changed to an upgrade with better windows but still not fully insulated. A few days before my departure, the heater broke so it was ice cold in the room and I had to wear all my layers. In other details, there was no fan in bathroom so it was muggy in the room after a shower, and there was no tub. I was also charged $18 for breakfast at checkout, even though the continental breakfast was "complimentary". My boyfriends name was added to the reservation a few weeks in advance, but he wasn't even given a continental breakfast, so I split my food with him. The downstairs restaurant called Marta is nice, if you can afford an extra splurge. Overall, I would not return, because although most of the staff was helpful, these fundamental problems shouldn't have happened in the first place. If you're going to pay nearly $200 a night, go to a chain where these problems are prevented.

The room was small and the heat did not work - there was a stand alone heater in the room. The shower leaked water into the floor of the bathroom. You could also hear the guests in the adjacent room. Very cold for a winter stay with no heat.

Nice Hotel

Posted 26-Jan-2015
Pros: Very clean, friendly, courteous staff, great location in Manhattan. Excellent restaurant in the hotel, Marta.
Cons: Room was small, but adequate for one person. There was no chair in the room, to sit at the desk with.
Location: Great Manhattan location, two miles from Times Square and less than two miles from NYU. Very safe feeling walking around the neighborhood.
Nice Hotel, very clean, friendly staff, the room was small, but big flat screen with great picture. The Marta restaurant in the hotel has delicious food also. I would recommend this hotel to a friend and definitely stay there again.

I had a room with an old heating system that is very loud. It will turn on and off during night time which woke me up a couple of times.

Zentral, sauber und einfach wunderbar!

Das Hotel machte schon von außen einen optimalen Eindruck. Dies spiegelte sich auch im Interieur und den Zimmern wider. Ich war mit 2 Freunden da und die waren auch sehr begeistert.

not non-smoking!

Posted 31-Dec-2014
When I checked in I asked for a non-smoking room, but they set me up with a smoking room. Or maybe whoever was in that "non-smoking" room before lit up a cigarette. I had two twin beds instead of a queen. The staff was really nice, but they were totally booked and could not accommodate me.

Great location

Posted 23-Dec-2014
Pros: Beds were very comfortable. Decor modern. Concierge so helpful and patient.
Cons: Add another towel bar in the bathroom.
The hotel is just a few short blocks from both the yellow and orange lines of the subway. So many things are either close by or easily accessible by subway. We walked past the Empire State Building several times on our way to other things. Herald Square and Bryant Park were both easy walks. We only took cabs at night, mostly because the nights were so cold.
