“Only if you have to”

OK because of hurricane Ireen my flight was cancelled and I needed a room for a night. This was the cheapest and closest to JFK. It had a free shuttle to the aiprort and free WI FI too. I only went here as I didn't have much of a choice. The service was fine BUT!!!!! There was a vending machine outside my room that was being used by noisey people of all hours of the night, then to top it all some huge trucked parked outside my window for 20 minutes making the loudest noice known to Man. At 11:30pm too. Hmmm was not happy. The area was somewhere you wouldn't want to be walking around that is for sure. Just use this for the one night if you need to get a flight the next morning and have no choice like me.

“No shuttle”

I chose this hotel as it had a free shuttle from JFK but they didn't say that it doesn't run the whole evening so I was stuck at JFK with the receptionist giving me no indication how to get to hotel Eventually I got a taxi which cost $15. The hotel itself looks worn and run-down and is not in a nice area.
