“Clean”

Typical somewhat cramped room in New York, but good use of space and comfortable. VERY clean, and I'm picky. Linens smelled fresh and gave me piece of mind with all the horror stories I've heard regarding bed bugs in the city. Breakfast was good, staff was courteous and I was overall very impressed. This will be my go to when visiting friends in Williamsburg.

Area recommendations
Bedford Ave seems to be the hub of this trendy neighborhood.

“No soundproofing and close to highway - couldn't sleep!!”

Hotel Le Jolie is rated #1 among the Brooklyn Hotels and does not deserve this rating due to the sound factor, that no one mentions. I came expecting to find a cute, convenient hotel with all the conveniences and instead found a clean hotel with no bell boys to help with luggage and windows without soundproofing. The hotel is close to the Williamsburg Bridge and highways and to have windows that do not keep out the sound is a disaster. I slept a total of 4 hours and checked out at at 5 am. In the end I did not benefit from the proximity to Manhattan and had a terrible night. Its rating should be downgraded.

“Will MOST definitely use this hotel again!!”

I would highly recommend this hotel. My husband & I chose it because it was located within walking distance to our daughter's apartment. The room, though small compared to mid-west standards, was clean & comfortable. The staff was so very pleasant & helpful. Parking on premises is definitely first come first serve, if driving to Brooklyn, but it was free for guests, that, too, was a huge plus for our choosing this hotel. Don't let the fact that this hotel is located directly across the street from a highway fool you; during our 4 night stay, not once did I hear any highway noise & our room faced the highway. Yes, I will definitely stay here again, whenever we go to visit our daughter. Thank you Hotel Le Jolie & Expedia for a wonderful experience!!

“Breakfast in Brooklyn”

Clean, modern no-frills hotel with all the basic conveniences-iron, ironing board, hair dryer, 42 inch LCD TV, wide choice of programing. Convenient to Lorimer Street subway with quick transport to Manhattan on the L train. Continental breakfast with wide range of pastries, plus fruit, flakes etc. and Starbucks coffee. Attentive breakfast staff. Limited breakfast seating so get there early. Williamsburg and Greenpoint with numerous cafes, coffee bars and pubs just a few blocks away. Immediate neighborhood close to freeway a bit gritty.

“Will definetly go back!!”

Hotel le Jolie was very clean, beds were very comfortable. It was easy to get to easy access to Manhattan. Everything about our stay was good. Small breakfast area good coffee!

“Excellent choice for staying in Williamsburg”

Although situated in a slightly unpromising location (right next tot he BQE), and not looking anything special from the outside, this hotel is a gem. My room faced towards the BQE but wasn't noisy, other than a faint hum of traffic. The room itself wasn't big, but no smaller than in many other NYC hotels, and nice and clean, with a large LCD tv, a safe, and (I love hotels that do this) a small fridge instead of a mini-bar. Far more useful to have a fridge to store your own drinks than having a minibar, IMO at least.. And if you're into the bars, restaurant and music venues of Williamburg, the location is hard to beat, within walking distance of most places around there. And it's a very short walk (< 5 minutes) to Lorimer St station, where the L train will take you to Manhattan in less than half an hour.

“A great place in Willamsburg”

My niece cautioned me not to stay so far away from Manhattan. However, the distance was only about 20 minutes (10 min walk to the subway and a 10 min subway ride). It was perfect...and about HALF the price of your average hotel in down-/mid-/up-town. The hotel building is relatively new and off the beaten path but only a short walk to the L and G trains in Willamsburg. The service is great and the rooms are comfortable -- small but comfortable. They serve a cold breakfast in the morning. I really recommend Hotel Le Jolie. It's a great place to stay in New York!

“Good value for NYC”

Good value for NYC, and close to subway etc. Parking is limited, but possible on site and there is free street parking under the elevated road outside the hotel. The soundproofing must be good: I never really noticed the road
