This is a true gem of an experience. The location & design is uniquely elegant. Friendly helpful staff is warm & welcoming. We love the rooftop bar with the dramatically romantic views. We will be back, often. Thank you!

Beautiful hotel a few steps from Soho and TriBeCa

Posted 26-May-2015
Pros: Great bed, modern, very clean, great location
Cons: The rooftop bar is cool with a great view, BUT seriously seriously overpriced, even for NYC. 16 bucks for a 3 oz. glass of wine, 19 for a cocktail
Location: Blocks from Soho shopping, Tribeca, Meatpacking West, and West Village.
We had an overall great experience at Hotel Hugo. We arrived early, around 11am, and check in was not until 3, so they stored our luggage for us at no cost while we went out to explore. The area is awesome, but keep in mind if you want to stay right in the hustle and bustle of the city, this is not it. The hotel is in a quiet, secluded area, but just a few short blocks from amazing Soho shopping, cool bars, and the West Village. I have been to NYC many times and lived here for a period of time, so I was more than happy to stay in a quiet neighborhood. The rooms are on the smaller side but very nice, clean, and super modern - amazing, huge bed and great bathroom and shower, iPod dock for your music, great mini bar, Keurig coffee maker, etc. Our room did not have a view, but again, we weren't looking for that. I got this room for a serious bargain when Expedia was running a sale, so I'm not sure if I would've been as satisfied if I had paid three or four hundred a night, but the price was definitely right. The hotel is brand new, very clean, cool views, etc. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone who would sacrifice views to avoid staying in a shotty, old Times Square hotel!

Room was small and had no view. House keeping was rude.

Dear Guest-Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, and thank you for choosing Hotel Hugo. As you may know, NYC hotels are notorious for their space constraints and Hotel Hugo is no exception. However, the rooms are by no means unusually small by New York City standards and we find that the majority of our guests feel that the comfort of the rooms and the modern design elements more than makes up for any limitations in room size. I also wanted to take this time to apologize if you felt our housekeeping staff was rude. This is certainly not how we would want our guest to leave the hotel feeling. It saddens me that you didn't have a good experience at our hotel and I hope that you will give us a second chance to impress you. -Sincerely, Pablo Migoya

Tutto fumo e niente arrosto...

Posted 19-Apr-2015
Pros: Il roof..
Cons: Tutto
Location: Albergo a soho in posizione decentrata, in zona pochi servizi...

Decent soho hotel

Posted 13-Apr-2015
For our first stay ever in NY I wish we were a little more central to all the main tourist attractions. Maybe it's just NY in general but we still ended up paying a total of $400 in cab fares in two days. I read reviews on this hotel prior to booking and others stated in their reviews that the water pressure was supreme compared to other NYC hotels so I was maybe expecting a little bit more than what I experienced. The room was incredibly small also, my boyfriend stubbed his toe maybe 4 times.. I had asked friends that were staying in the city but at different hotels if their room was as small and they all stated that their rooms were double the size of ours. The only good (not great) part was probably the comfort of the bed and the staff.

Dear Guest, -I just wanted to take a moment to apologize for some of the items, which you mentioned in your review, as it seems we failed to delight you in a few areas of your stay. Once again, we very much appreciate the feedback and hope to see you again in the future. Sincerely, Pablo Migoya
