Modern & stylish boutique hotel

Posted 27-Jul-2015
Pros: We loved the clean, modern decor, excellent service, and the gorgeous wall of live greenery that warmly welcomes you as you walk in.
Cons: We didn't have any complaints.
Location: The location is good, you might have to walk an extra block or two to get to restaurants and shopping, but it was quiet and totally worth it.
Exactly what you expect from a trendy boutique hotel, but typical of NY, they offer more. They have a wonderful restaurant, bar, and room service. Don't forget to check out the rooftop bar with 360 views of the city. (Dress well, it's an upscale environment.) The atmosphere was entirely different on Friday vs. Saturday. Very calm and peaceful, but beautiful on Friday. Saturday night, there was a DJ on the rooftop and it was very loud and vibrant. Nice diversity in the crowd, a wide age range too, which is great for those of us not in our 20's and um, barely still in our 30's.

Chices Boutiquehotel

Posted 26-Jul-2015
Pros: Die Lage und das schöne Design. Sehr sauber
Schönes, neues Stadthotel in super Lage, ruhig!

Nice hotel in SoHo

Posted 16-Jul-2015
Nice hotel in SoHo close to everything. Rooftop bar is very enjoyable with amazing views and the staff is very friendly Rooms are basic but nice. Only complaint I would have about the rooms are that the beds aren't very comfortable. Used the gym (if you want to call it that, lol) once. A few cardio machines and a weight rack stuffed in a "modern glass" little box shoved in the basement of the hotel. Can't fault them for trying though as there probably wasn't a ton of space. I would definitely recommend this place if you don't need a bunch of ammenities and just looking for a pleasant stay with a nice rooftop bar.

Nice hotel- lower west village area

Posted 15-Jul-2015
Pros: Nice modern room, comfy bed and lovely bath.
Cons: One elevator door is really loud. Hard to figure out the A/C controls- didn't want to call down at 4am for help.
Location: Lower west village. Near soho, tribeca and 5 min. to subway. The street itself isn't pretty, but it is quiet and convenient.
Girls trip, we were meeting friends nearby. Very quiet location. It was hard to find a place with two double beds, and so we were happy to find this, and at a fair price. Good deals in the mini bar! The restaurant looked nice, but we never got a chance to go. comfy bed, nice staff.

Lovely boutique hotel in Soho

Posted 13-Jul-2015
We (my husband, our 18-year-old daughter and I) loved every minute of our stay at Hotel Hugo . The hotel is lovely— stylish with a sense of humor. We arrived a bit before check-in and hungry so we decided to get a snack at the hotel restaurant while we waited. We usually avoid hotel restaurants but felt it was a convenient place to wait. The food was so good — and both the food and the atmosphere so authentically Italian —that we opted to eat several dinners there rather than at other Soho restaurants. (The homemade rigatoni is some of the best comfort food we've ever had.) The location is perfect — a short (5 to 7 minute) walk to the park along the Hudson in one direction and to the trendy shops and eateries of Soho in the other. The two roof bars (one glassed-in and the other open air) are fun. We preferred the one in the open air with Cuban music playing. Our room was a deluxe standard (two double beds), small as New York City hotel rooms tend to be, but the space was used very efficiently. Following room tips on tripadvisor.com, we asked for a room on a high floor with a view of the Hudson River. The hotel put us in 1405, which was bright during the day and quiet at night. Every staff member we encountered throughout the stay was friendly and helpful. We couldn't have been happier and will definitely stay there next time we visit New York.

Indifferent staff, poorly managed

Posted 11-Jun-2015
Pros: High quality room materials, bedding and bathroom amenities; architecture; roof deck
Cons: Hire experieced manager who has an understanding of customer service
Location: Its at the intersection of SOHO, West Village and Tribeca, really well situated
Unresponsive, unempowered staff. They cater to events and private parties not hotel guests; really disappointed. When I called front desk for help with the in room AC, they said they would send engineer up, they never came; when I called front dest enquiring about an item on the in room menu, thay said it was housekeeping who handled that, said they would call me right back - they never did; When we went down for breakfast, manager hurridedly took our order, that he got wrong, when we told the waiter, he offered to correct it but we were in a rush so we said we would eat it...To our surprise, the mistake was more expensive (eggs benedict vs scrambled eggs) yet management didnt even reduce to price of item we ordered let alone comp us..
