Tutto fumo e niente arrosto...

Posted 19-Apr-2015
Pros: Il roof..
Cons: Tutto
Location: Albergo a soho in posizione decentrata, in zona pochi servizi...

Decent soho hotel

Posted 13-Apr-2015
For our first stay ever in NY I wish we were a little more central to all the main tourist attractions. Maybe it's just NY in general but we still ended up paying a total of $400 in cab fares in two days. I read reviews on this hotel prior to booking and others stated in their reviews that the water pressure was supreme compared to other NYC hotels so I was maybe expecting a little bit more than what I experienced. The room was incredibly small also, my boyfriend stubbed his toe maybe 4 times.. I had asked friends that were staying in the city but at different hotels if their room was as small and they all stated that their rooms were double the size of ours. The only good (not great) part was probably the comfort of the bed and the staff.

Fabulous creative boutique hotel

Posted 23-Mar-2015
Pros: Everything.
Location: Excellent location within walking distance of SoHo Tribeca, and the West Village.
This hotel is a gem. It's in a great location within easy walking distance of Soho, the West Village and Tribeca. The rooms are designed to feel like a sleek, luxurious, ship cabin with beautiful lacquered wood and nautical fixtures. It's new new new so everything was clean and crisp especially the bathroom - can we talk about the powerful toilet flush - what a pleasant surprise for a New York hotel. The hotel guests are also interesting, creative, young and quiet. Don't miss the rooftop bar and the grand views of the Statue of Liberty, World Trade, Empire State, and Chrysler buildings. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and again.

Great SoHo Hotel, a bit out of the way

Posted 20-Mar-2015
Pros: the shower was fantastic.
Cons: Get better pillows.
Location: It was a bit out of the way. didn't really go outside of the hotel.
This was a great hotel. Modern with amazing amenities. The shower was great, with some of the best water pressure. The hotel staff were fantastic; friendly and accommodating. A few small things: a glass of orange juice cost $10.00, the pillows on the bed were not comfortable and the bed was a bit mushy. Overall a great experience though.

New, conveniently located SOHO hotel

Posted 15-Mar-2015
Pros: Location, clean
Cons: Nothing
Location: In SOHO so lots and lots to do!
Well located and new hotel in SOHO. Location is not in the thick of things but a short walk. The Hugo is clean and in excellent condition and staff are efficient and helpful. The one complaint is the size of the room, I was in a Superior King and it was really small (smaller than others I have stayed at in New York). Would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Dear Guest-Your kind words are warmly received. Thank you for such an amazing star rating! As I'm sure you might know, many hotels in NYC suffer from space constraints. Hotel Hugo is no different. Thanks again for such a great review and we hope to see you again real soon. -Sincerely Pablo Migoya

Very nice stay.

Posted 09-Mar-2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Shower head/water adjuster too far back to adjust w/o a blast of cold water. Towels a strange popcorn smell. Not a great way to follow up a nice show
Location: Cronuts!
Lovely hotel! Great helpful staff. Adorable and Cozy rooms. Check out the view from the rooftop bar.

Very quiet

Posted 08-Mar-2015
Pros: Designed well, quiet location, nice staff
Cons: Food
Location: It is a good location in summertime as you can walk to many restaurants, stores and public transportation. Hotel has hard time to get taxi in winter.
Very well designed hotel, meaning a true boutique hotel with high quality furniture. Location is across the street of UPS distribution center. Therefore it is very quiet during night time. Rooms are typical NYC size (small) but very efficient designed and have free Wifi. The only negatives I experienced are that my shinbone got black and blue as I hit the bed frame all the time and you have to turn on the shower standing outside to not get surprised by cold water. The check-in was nice even though there was no help with luggage but I didn't need it anyway. Also, there was no explanation where to get what - breakfast, gym, coffee etc. A visit in the restaurant was disappointing, the food was not up to standard, the staff was, very nice and attentive but not organized. Overall I will come back if it will fit into my budget but think not to have dinner again if food won't become what the price promised.

Dear Guest-Thank you for writing a review about your recent stay at the Hotel Hugo. I'm really glad to hear you appreciated the overall ambiance of the Hugo. I would like to apologize for you hurting your shin on the bed frame but as you may know, room size is a problem facing many boutique hotels in NYC, and Hotel Hugo is no exception. We look forward to welcoming you back to our property for your next visit. Again, thank you.-Sincerely, Pablo Migoya
