“Noisy on Second Floor”
It's a great location if you want to stay near Times Square. However I stayed on the second floor facing the street, and it was very difficult to get sleep as the noise from outside was coming into the room. I'm sure it would be a little quieter if you're in a higher floor or further away from the street, but I didn't get a good stay in the room I was in. Also keep in mind that the rooms are a bit small, which I didn't mind, but something to consider if more than one person. The bed also had a harder-than-normal mattress.
“Excellent location - would stay again”
Excelent hotel amazing location, rooms comfortable and clean, reception staff very friendly and helpful. Would definately stay again.
“A lovely time!”
Hotel 41 is a small hotel. We were upgraded to a superior room on arrival, which was lovely, but left me wondering what size a standard room was! The hotel itself was lovely, the staff could not have been more helpful and you didnt want for anything. I would definitely recommend this Hotel for people are looking for a place to sleep after a day of sight-seeing. We had a lovely holiday and didn't have to worry about anything!
“Great convenient location”
We stayed he for two nights after a long cruise and it was lovely. The location at Times Square is perfect with restaurants, subway, show ticket booths TKTS nearby. The free Wifi was a real bonus. The downside, like all Central Manhattan hotels, is the small room...which incidentally is just right for us, with the en-suite and comfy double bed. The window opened into a brick wall, but we hardly spent time here so this was fine. It was also fantastic value for money, especially with the light breakfast included and unlimited use of the coffee machine which dispensed great lattes and cappuccino.
“Hotel 41”
Location excellent, small room but comfortable. Free Wifi, free coffee , free continental breakfast. Lively bar in the evenings, overall perfectly ok for a sightseeing trip. Get what you pay for , a 3 star hotel. Staff always helpful when required.
“Small But Perfectly Formed”
This hotel is perfect for a short stay of one or two nights. Location is right in Times Square, so you're near everything - restaurants, food stalls, subway, shops, bars, attractions, etc. The room is tiny, only space enough for a bed (too soft for me), a built in wardrobe (not big enough for my suitcase), a little dressing table, and a very compact en-suite - but if you're only staying one or two nights, it's perfectly adequate. Service was excellent, and everything was clean and shiny. Worth the money.
“Great location for staying in the big apple”
Hotel 41 at Times Square was perfectly located for exploring this fantastic city. Straight off Times Square, not that you would know it once in the hotel as we were not disturbed by the all day and night bustle. The rooms although small were clean & comfortable. The service good but not in your face. The self service breakfast & coffee availability all day were nice touches.
“Great place for a one night stay”
Was a little taken aback on first entering the room as I couldn't see the window! There was a small window looking onto a very small gap between buildings, wouldn't have liked to stay more than one night.
“Ideal Location, Excellent Staff, Great Hotel!”
We chose to stay at Hotel 41 after reading some good reviews, and the fact that it is located right next to the 42nd Street Port Authority Bus Terminal Subway station from which many subway lines run. From the moment we checked in until we left we had nothing but good things to say about this hotel, and we would definitely recommend it to others looking to stay in NYC. Our double room was small, but not as small as we were expecting based on other reviews. We had more than enough room, and the bathroom was also a good size. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean throughout. Also, despite being located just off of Times Square, there was no noise whatsoever from outside. My only criticism would be that the air-cooling system was a bit loud when it came on, especially in the night - a very small point in the grand scheme of things. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout, and the bar in the hotel is very stylish and a nice place to start any night out. The breakfast in the morning consisted of bagels, pastries, tea & coffee, and juices, which was fine for us. Reckon we saved $150 over the week on not having to pay for breakfast every morning. They let us keep our bags there on the day we checked out, and staying in such a good hotel made our leaving all the more sad - definitely going to miss NYC. Overall, I couldn't recommend Hotel 41 more highly. The location is great for tourists and you are made to feel very valued.
“Rooms are like being in Solitary Confinement”
The room was the size of a closet across from the elevator! Besides being in solitary confinement, I opened the curtain to see a brick wall. The bed was so noisy. I will never stay here again!
