“JFK Hilton-great location”

Got a king room,bed was extremely comfortable.Only stayed for a layover but was totally satified.The local takeout Italian Sub Shop was friggin awesome. It's very close and convenient to JFK Airport and the shuttle runs on the half hour. Was abit pricey but the comfort of the bed,the food,and convenience to the airport made it worthwhile.

Area recommendations
The takeout Italian Sub Shop(forgot the name) Great food. Ordered a small pizza to go with the sub. HUGE

“Terrific service”

Location close to airport. Room was good size and clean. Staff were terrific for a busy hotel. We used the restaurant - food was better than we thought it would be and service was also above average.

“Good enough for sleeping”

Nothing special but nothing terrible either, except for no services in the neighborhood. Close to the airport, though, with shuttle service from Federal Circle.

“The best hotel near JFK for the money”

This hotel was wonderful. I can't say enough about the staff who went out of their way to help my family and me find our way to specific sites in Manhattan. They even had their shuttle driver bring us to a store to get a bus Metro pass and, when that store didn't carry them, the driver drove us to another store that did! We were amazed they did that for us. And the Metro pass helped us enormously to hop buses and get to where we wanted to go. (The surrounding neighbourhood is a dive, but it's super-close to JFK). All in all, the hotel was fine: very clean, quiet and with comfortable beds and decent bathroom amenities. The pool was a lot smaller than the hotel's website photos seem to portray it, and the workout room was quite tiny (two treadmills and some free weights). We ordered in dinner from the tiny restaurant downstairs one night, not expecting much (to be honest), but we were blown away by how good the burgers and fries were. The shuttles to and from the airport were great. Most of all, though, the staff were AMAZING. This was a great hotel for the money. I'd recommend it for a quick stay-over from JFK.

“Great Airport Hotel”

Great for an overnight stopover for those in transit through New York's Kennedy airport. Free (and timely) shuttle to and from the airport. Though we visited in the midst of one on New York's massive winter storms, hotel staff was helpful and accomodating.

Area recommendations
Not much in this immediate neighborhood, but still convenient to downtown New York.

“Barely passable”

The shower was anemic and warmish. The restaurant food was of poor quality. The hotel is right next to the freeway so there's a lot of traffic (although noise level was acceptable). On the plus side, the personnel is helpful, and it's minutes away from the airport. For the price, I was not impressed: I've slept in cheaper airport hotels that were much better than this... Next time, I'll sleep somewhere else.

“Just Okay!”

After a 14 hour flight back from the middle east I just wanted a hot bath and a good meal. Although the restaurant service was kind and attentive, the food wasn't very good and I couldn't get a decent bubble bath because there was a water shortage and the pressure was so bad that the tub kept running all night. When I told the front clerk about the water issue and asked for them to come fix it, no one came all night. The next morning I told the AM clerk and she was kind enough to take my meal bill off in order to compensate for the trouble. The room was clean and nice, the business center was enough to send an e-mail, and the food was okay...but I would suggest shopping around for a closer hotel to the airport and one that has better food.

As soon as you get your baggage, cross the street to the AirTram - call the hotel and ask them which stop to get off of, and a shuttle will pick you up.
