“Made very welcome”

Very nice modern hotel.Reception staff were excellent.Buffet breakfast very good. Hotel operates shuttle to and from Airport,Cruise terminal and Staten Island Ferry but reservations have to be made in advance.This can be difficult particularly, for example, when returning on the Staten Island Ferry because you do not have exact timing. Without these shuttles it is very difficult to go anywhere on Staten Island , taxis seem to be almost non-existent and if you do manage to find one they are expensive. The hotel is excellent for short/overnight stays and is much better value than staying in Manhattan.

“Great base for New York”

We stayed here as were travelling with a car and didn't want to drive into New York and pay parking fees. There is a free hotel shuttle service to Staten Island ferry but have to book times in advance. We used our car on the remaining days and parked by ferry terminal. Having the car also allowed us to travel to eat out at night. Beds were the best we slept in on our trip. Great breakfasts.

“Safe from Irene”

We thank so much the Hotel Staff for friendly welcoming and for the support given to "bear" Irene's force. The hotel is very good, but remember that the journey to Manhattan takes not less than an hour.
