The stay was good with very courteous staff. The rooms were in good condition with expected amenities. Complementary breakfast included and gym if required. Well priced as well for staying in the island, also in walking distance of the lower East side, One World Trade Centre and TriBeCa

Just one block from East Broadway metro station. Brooklyn was just one station away, in the other direction. Lovely view of Manhattan Bridge from the main Henry Street side of the hotel. The trains were quite noisy (day and night) crossing the bridge, but you soon got used to it. Complimentary breakfast was pleasant. 30 minute rule was good, so nobody could hog the tables. I would visit again, without question.

Convenient location in the sense of proximity to F train. Short walk to Little Italy. Chinatown location was not great though- next to fish market and you can smell it in the hotel. Definitely an issue with hot water. I read others’ reviews and we had a similar issue. Noise from elevated train that runs on Manhattan Bridge was not an issue, but our room as on the street side. It worked for our stay, but we won’t be staying there again.

Horrible place. Smells bad all over the property. They gave us a room with a broken toilet and never fixed it, which means, we didn't have a toilet for our stay. When we let them know, they basically said they couldn't fix it and that we needed to go to the reception bathroom if we needed. That bathroom had no soap to wash hands or paper to dry them. We also told them that and very rudely handed us two soap bars instead of refilling the soap dispenser. The staff on the night shift of Tuesday the 26th was extremely rude. When I said I couldn't wash my hands in that toilet, before I finished my sentence he said "What? You are not capable of washing your hands on your own?" before I could tell him there was no soap. He should be fired. Awful place all in all.

The complimentary breakfast Is very good and has many options, recommended. If you are a light sleeper this Is not for you since you can hear the Subway trains all night in the background, I didn't mind much.

Overall this was a great choice for staying in Manhattan. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful except it was very crowded. There was a girl's gymnastics group staying there so tons of young women. It was a busy place. It was fairly close to the subway so it made a great base for our trip to Manhattan.

The only problem I had was that the water in the shower and sink had a mind of their own. The water would go from too hot to too cold and the water pressure would audibly change. The location is okay, but close to the train to go to Brooklyn or Mid/Uptown Manhattan.

Stayed in the executive room with the king bed and sofa bed for 4 nights. Negatives: Was a bit narrow than expected, but worked for our needs. Found a little bit of mold in the one corner of shower area. Sofa bed wasn't comfortable/spring edge poked our legs while getting in, and center (whether it was the mattress or spring surface or combination of both) was concave so it was difficult to get out! Positives: Hotel staff was friendly and courteous. Breakfast selection was good, catered to everyone's food preferences. Convenient to Chinatown area and various restaurants. About a 5 minute walk to MTA on Broadway and Essex roads. Good walking distance to Soho shopping. May stay there again, but will select a different room.

We enjoyed our stay here in a family room with sofa bed. Comfy, clean room with coffee machine. Staff were friendly and the complimentary breakfast was good. Only negatives were the constant noise from the trains on Manhattan bridge, and the smell of fish especially in the lifts from the Chinese supermarket next door. The area around the hotel is quite dirty and not the best, but it’s close to the East Broadway subway and there are some nice restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. Wouldn’t recommend walkimg round this area at night, but that can be said about many areas of New York.

The guy at check in was super helpful and great! Once we stepped in the elevator, the smell hits you. It smells like fish market, sewage and mold. The room did not have hot water and over two night stay, we called three times for engineer support. We were told they had to restart the boilers each time for hot water. It was such an issue, we left early today without a shower to avoid the hassle. We do not recommend this hotel. The cost is not worth the amount we paid and we are unhappy Marriott would have such low standards. Parking is about five blocks away from hotel at discounted $40 per day.

Because we booked through Expedia, they put us in a room between the icemaker and the elevator. Noise constantly. The hotel stunk like fish the whole time we were there.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms. The breakfast was good each day with eggs, sausage, and a variety of carb options. Located very near the F subway stop, with lots of great food options nearby in Chinatown!

Hotel wasn’t bad at all other than the rotten fish smell daily due to an asian fish place next door. Glad we brought smell good spray for the hall way and elevator. The elevator made a loud banging sound w wry time it went up and down all night along with subway. If you are a light sleeper I wouldn’t suggest staying here.

Overall, good location considering it's NYC. It is in Chinatown, and the hallways smelled like the fresh fish/seafood from the stores below it. There was so much noise on the 7th floor, to which I didn't care for. Safe area, room was ok, found hair everywhere. Complimentary breakfast was ok.

Spacious room on the 7th floor, especially for what I know for other rooms in NY. Very quite also! The hotel is a bit outdated, the complementary breakfast is not the most tasteful and some staff members looked bored. BUT the spacious and quite room makes it worth to come back sometime.

I’m big on customer service and the staff are amazing. Very helpful with places to eat and things to do close by. Not much to do in the area as far a entertainment but that didn’t bother us as we already had our trip planned out. I would definitely stay again and recommend this hotel especially if your trip includes stops in Brooklyn.

The property was clean. Breakfast was included and had a reasonable amount of variety & the food was fine. The area was a bit sketchy, but not terrible. Easy walking distance to F train to get to various Manhattan locations. A couple of great restaurants within walking distance. Staff was helpful. Overall we found the property clean and accessible and would stay again.
