“great experience”

at first when i got to the hotel i thought i had made a mistake on the booking due to where the hotel was located. but once we checked in the employees made us feel at home. the breakfast was awesome! we asked how would we get to from point a to point b and they helped us out alot. they even shuttled us to where we got a subway. we did what we had to do and we called the shuttle to pick us up where he dropped us off and he was right on time all the time. there was not waiting at all. i recommend this hotel to anyone if youre on a budget........you can not go wrong with it. hotel is clean and like i said empoyees are very nice. i would book it again if i ever went there again.

“Really bad location, but the shuttle service to the airport and the train station was really good.”

Very nice service, the people are very nice. The location is not good at all, no restaurants in walking distance, but the shuttle service from the hotel to the airport and the train station is excellent.

“Impressed.”

I had pleasant stay at the hotel. The front desk staff were extremely helpful, courteous and professional. The complementary breakfast was simple and delicious. The only downside was the limited car packing space at the hotel, however, there were enough and safe packing spaces on the side street of the hotel. I will definitely stay again when I visit nyc.

“"Can't wait to go back"”

This was our first annual family/friends trip to New York. Harold, Sal and all of the rest of the staff made our trip great. The moment we were picked up at the airport the fun started! Our first room was separate from the others and within minutes we were relocated with the others. The beds slept great and the rooms were very clean. Everybody made comments about our visit for next year would include the same place to stay. The shuttle to and from the airport and subway stop were great!

“Will Stay Again”

The hotel was great. Free shuttle service from/to the airport. Free shuttle to the nearest subway stop. Free breakfast (and it was extensive). They allowed us to check in WAY early. Always had the answers to our questions. Called us a taxi. The hotel is definitely a hop, skip and a jump from the city but I will be staying here next time I come to NYC.

Getting around
NYC subway systems are amazing and definitely the way to go! Super cheap (2.25 per trip) and you can get from the Bronx to the Lower East side to Flushing and only pay once!

“Actually very well maintained and cozy”

Parking can be difficult if you really want to park behind the hotel late at night. But streetside parking seems safe. The industrial complexes surrounding the hotel have security. Coffee and tea always available. Rooms are clean. Will stay here again.

“Great stay out of downtown”

We wanted a hotel close to LaGuardia to make it easier when we had to fly home. I chose the Fairfield Inn because of free shuttle service from the airport, and also shuttle service to the subway station to get downtown. The lobby was very clean, everything looked new. Same with our room. Bed was soft and very comfortable. The towels were a little thin though. Surrounding neighborhood was industrial, so the shuttle was nice to have. I only gave convenience a 4 because of its distance from Downtown, it took a while to get there, but the 7 line goes all the way to Times Square, so that makes it easy. Hotel staff was also knowledgeable about subway work done this weekend and helped us with which lines we would need to take to get to Manhattan. Free breakfast was good, raisin bran, corn flakes, fruit loops, waffle irons, yogurt, fruit cups, bagels, toast, danishes, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches.

“we'll come back”

We realy enjoy our stay in Fairfield hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, the stuff were very helpfull and nice. They provided us free shutle to the subway station and to the airport. If we come to visit New York again we will most definately stay at the same hotel

“Reasonable”

The hotel was ok location-wise b/c it was close to the airport....but on the other hand there are others that are alot closer. Didn't care for the "industrial-like" area. Nothing about the neighborhood seemed unsafe but it would have been nice if we were closer to public transportation or a corner store.The hotel does provide a ride to a nearby area to catch public transportation so that is a good thing. Hotel room was decent, comfortable beds. Hotel staff is very attentive and willing to assist in any way possible. Depending on your travel plans and if you don't mind staying outside the city then I would recommend this hotel.

Area recommendations
Soho, Bronx, Queens, Manhattan, Canal Street, Broadway, 5th Avenue see all you can...when you can. A day is not enough to explore this splendorous city!
