“Good price - not too far from Manhattan”
My room was pleasant and small, but not by Manhattan standards! The metro is about 4.5 blocks away, and is easily a five-minute walk. The train ride to Lincoln Center is 45-50 minutes, but if you're on a budget, it's really not that far. The hotel is well-kept and not too old. The breakfast buffet was pretty good (waffles one day), and I appreciated the in-room coffee maker, the free wifi, and lots of good lamp-light. There were a couple of holes in one of my bed blankets, and a hole in my comforter, but it wasn't worth raising a stink over. Overall, not a bad alternative to an expensive, dingy Manhattan hotel.
“Great Stay In Brooklyn”
I got in a little before midnight. The Check in process was quick and painless. Literally on my way up to my room Less than 5 minutes after arriving. The front desk was very helpful recommending local eating spots and night life in the area they even provided directions. The room was perfect. I had a queen bed with a flat screen TV and a pretty big shower. All in all I had a great stay and would definitely look into staying at the Days Inn Brooklyn again in the future.
“Small rooms good location”
Met our Basic needs
“Not impressed”
Walked in to talk to the check-in person through a plexiglass window. This really makes one question the neighborhood. I then had to take an elevator down to a room below street level with a slim window near the top of the wall (curtains drawn because the view was of an alley and another brick wall). We could barely walk around the bed because the room was so small. No frills, whatsoever.
“Pathetic hotel..Please avoid”
Guys,i had pathetic experience in this Hotel last week. The Environment around the hotel is scary.Cab drivers do not want to come to this place fom manhattan. Room size was very small.Shower in the Hotel was not working. I would sincerly request all to avoid the hotel
“Good Experience”
We liked the service and enjoy the closeness to a subway station. Price was right. There's only one thing you need to be aware of, the room its small and to cramped but yet this is Brooklyn :)
“Excellent value for budget travelers”
This hotel is a great place for budget travelers. Stayed 4 nights and commuted into Manhattan each day. The neighborhood around the hotel is relatively safe and it is located just three blocks from a subways station. The hotel staff were very pleasant and professional. The rooms were a decent size for NYC. They could have been a little cleaner and the hotel was at times noisy during the night, but overall I had a good stay. I would book with this hotel again the next time I come to town.
“Not great, but not terrible either”
We had a short stay (2 nights). We had very low expectations given the price. Despite our low expectations, we found the room to be clean and there were signs of recent improvements. There were NO odors or lingering smoking odor at all, which was a pleasant surprise. The bathroom was clean and had marble floor and counters. On the downside, the shower head sprayed water out the side. We were awakened several times in the middle of the night or very early by either other guests or hotel staff, who seemed to enjoy having long animated conversations right outside our very thin door. Oh yes, and sirens/lights outside. I can't hold that against the owner, but be warned. The hotel staff that I interacted with were all very courteous and efficient, and I have no complaints there. Breakfast was toast & jam, bagels, cereal etc.
“May suit some”
We were looking for a cheap base for visiting Manhattan. Only a one night stay. The hotel is not in a good area. It is a $50 taxi ride into Manhattan. It was in a mess when we turned up although the rooms were clean and tidy. If you are on a very low budget, this may suit. If not, the recommendation would be to avoid.
“Poor parking”
The front desk worker needs a course in customer service. He was very unpolite and rude. If I had somewhere else to go when I check in I would have leave.
