January in NYC

Posted 30-Jan-2015
Pros: Location, staff, meals at the restaurant, and the room comfort.
Cons: less crowded, for the rest was great..
Location: Times square, Rockefeller center, Theaters, Central Park, St. Patricks Catedral, Bryant Park, a bunch of good restaurants and the five guys hamburger!
the great location is one of the big plus of this hotel, is located 2 blocks from times square and very convenient distance from major NYC attractions and theaters, is like one mile from Central Park and if you want to take the metro the nearest station is one block ahead. the staff always show an excelent attitude, friendhip, they treat us, if we were frequent travelers, at the reception Evelyn was great, and at the restaurant Alfredo was awsome with his advice and recomendations of places to go and visit. at the concierge we buy tickets for several attractions so we avoid some of the lines and waiting times.

Perfect Times Square Location

Posted 29-Jan-2015
Pros: Location & Comfort.
Location: Right in Times Square, bordering Theatre District. Easy walking distance to Maddison Square Gardens, Rockerfeller Centre, Hells Kitchen, Central Park.
We loved our stay at Crowne Plaza, it was the perfect location right in the middle of Times Square, and within easy walking distance to many attractions such as Maddison Square Gardens, The Rockerfeller Centre, Theatre District, Central Park, 5th Avenue and with a Subway station just across the road. We had a fantastic room overlooking Times Square, we had 4 (mostly adult size) people in our room and found it quite comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the room clean and modern. The rooms did not have free wifi, but did find a lot of hotels around USA also did not. It was available in the bar/lobby area. We were at the stage of our trip where we needed to do laundry, and found two within two blocks walk in which you can either do it yourself or leave it.

Times square plaza

Posted 29-Jan-2015

pretty bad customer service

Posted 29-Jan-2015
Cons: They could be more accomodating.... I'm sure they booked our room for someone else when we did not show up.
Location: This was work related. Not sightseeing
Our people wanted to cancel, there was no canceling, which was fine, but when one of our employees (other than those on the reservation) tried to use the reservation they would not let them....so he had to book another room... at a significantly higher rate.... we will NEVER use Crown Plaza again.

Best location!

This spot was perfect for sightseeing. Centrally located for all main sights in NY. Super close to main subway train and also walking distance to other great sights, such as Central Park, 5th Ave shops and much more.

Excellent central location to explore New York

Posted 28-Jan-2015
Spent 4 nights at this super location hotel. Couldn't have been better placed(particularly when the blizzard struck!). Staff in all areas were so friendly and helpful. Everything was done with a genuine smile. Only downside was no free wi-go in room and no access to charge free Freephone in room. This made arranging alternative flights and transport difficult at a a very difficult period of New York shutting down for the weather. On the plus side, ideally located for theatres, hop on/hop off buses, Central Park, great restaurants etc etc. will use again when we return

Nice Hotel in the middle of Times Square.

Posted 27-Jan-2015
Pros: location, location , location, awesome location and views if you are on a corner with the Times Square views.
Cons: the lobby restaurant is okay, not great, you can improve the flavor.
Location: location, location, one of the best location in times square.
The hotel is great, the location and the facilities, my only problem was the bathroom was not as clean as you expect for a Times Square room or any 4 stars hotel. That was my only problem, the bathrooms are one of the most important things in a hotel room and this bath was not the best. Please put more attention about this.

great location

Posted 27-Jan-2015
Got in early on a red-eye and check in was not until 3pm. The hotel seemed not too busy, it was a Thursday. We requested an early check in because it has never been a problem with other hotels we have stayed with. They took my phone number and promised to call me when the room was ready. We never got a call and didn't get to check in until 3pm. We paid extra for a "times square view" and when we got to our corner room, you couldn't see times square, you could only see the back of the north billboards of times square. Our Bellhop, Juan, took action and called the front desk and got us a room with an actual times square view. The room was nice and roomy. There was a few minor problems like the towel rack was falling off the wall, the spigot on the sink was loose, the sink plug didn't work and the toilet paper roll was located in a spot that was hard to reach when you needed TP the most.....Mostly minor stuff, but not what you expect for a "luxury Hotel"......Location was ideal.
