Crowne Plaza Times Square

Great location right in the centre of Times Square. Easy walking distance to everything- theatres, restaurants, shopping, Central Park, tours. Expect street noise. Room was large. Good place to stay.

Great Hotel

Pros: Location
Location: Went to see Wicked, 2 blocks from the Hotel.
Wonderful stay. I've been staying at this Hotel throughout the years. Always clean, staff is friendly and check in and out is a breeze.

Great location ... highly recommend

Pros: Beds, showers, health club, convenience
Cons: There are a few small things that show the age of the hotel, like a chip on the mirror in our room and the door to our room had to be pulled shut.
Location: Theatre, restaurants, subway, walk to everything.
Stayed here with my 16-year-old son on a weekend trip to NYC. We loved the proximity to Times Square, Theatres, subway, restaurants, and parks. Everything was convenient. The hotel had a great lobby shop for sandwiches, coffee, salads, the elevators were fast, the beds were comfortable, shower worked great and the A/C in the room was quiet and comfortable. We also checked out the health club. It was large and had everything you would need. Highly recommend.

Great time

Pros: Everything. We would stay there again.
Cons: Hospital based driver seemed expensive. Rate was $120 ($80 plus tolls) to Newark.
Location: Great location for tourists. Near all shows, shopping, central park, bus tours, TV studios, etc.
Excellent location. Within three blocks of top rated shows, plays, and comedy. Close to time square. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Great service. Nice gym. Nice drive up entrance.

Internet access was at best shocking. Room was at the rear end of the hotel. I usually book via expedia and stay at IHG hotels. Neither ever again.

Excellent hotel in Time Square

Pros: Parking, location, early guests can get their bags stored till rooms are ready.
Cons: Signage to the entrance because the address mentioned is not the drive in entrance.
Location: Book of Mormon, Times Square
Excellent hotel for a great price in Times square. I have been to the other big brand hotel right in time square and I wasn't too impressed. Like any other Marriott. But this hotel although not very much different from other Crowne Plaza had great views and a great price tag. Stayed in the city with my wife for her birthday celebrations. We went to watch Book of Mormon which happens to be right next to the hotel on the same block. That was very convenient. Parking is $50 and is valet and is in the same property(underground). Check-in is at 3pm but we came in early and they were very accommodating that they took in our bags so that we were able to go out till our rooms got ready. The only con might be that its on Times Square so expect to hear sirens and honks occasionally.

Good location, but unfriendly staff

Check in took far too long, and the front desk staff was horrible. The carpet in our room was wet/damp all over, making walking around without shoes on really gross. The location is fabulous (right in Times Square), but for the money we paid I expected a nicer room and MUCH more polite staff. I had a package delivered to the hotel that was properly addressed to me as a guest staying there and clearly marked with my check in and check out dates. The package arrived the day before I did, and contained very expensive hard copy tickets to a soccer game I would attend during my stay (along with some other soccer clothing to wear to the game). When we checked it the front desk told us the package had not arrived yet. I checked in several times a day and was rudely told that if a package came for me it would just be delivered to my room so stop calling the front desk to ask. Despite this rude treatment I did check with the front desk two more times for my package before heading off to the game and buying new tickets (since mine had never arrived, costing my upwards of $400). Upon check-out I was told that the package still had not arrived and that I would be called if it did so I could pay to have it shipped to me back home. I left, very unhappy the package hadn't made it. I called the hotel 3 days later on my way home and was transferred to the shipping and receiving department where they told me my package had been sitting there since the day before I first checked in. (Sigh)
