“Good weekend bargain near NYC”

The hotel met our expectations including clean and comfortable rooms. The breakfast buffett was good (not included in room charge). The proximity to NYC is good with over 50% savings compared to comparable hotels in Manhattan.

“Excellent location and great price”

15 minutes by shuttle from Newark airport, and the huge Jersey Gardens mall within walking distance. Friendly staff and very clean hotel. I'd check in here again anytime.

“Courtyard Marriott Review Jan 2nd 2008”

Hello, My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel from Dec. 27th to the 30th as we were visiting Manhattan for a few days. The rooms were very nice, and the beds among the most comfortable of any hotels I've stayed at. Jersey Gardens across the street was a great outlet mall for some belated christmas shopping, and transit into manhattan was easy and relatively cheap. (We drove to Newark Penn Station with the aid of a GPS, then took the train in and out of the city). I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Only caveats are that I wish the parking lot seemed more secure, and that the food (breakfast in particular) was a bit cheaper. Other than that, more than worth it for the price.

“Would stay again if I went to that area.”

The staff was very pleasant and accommodating.I only missed the convenience of a continental breakfast.

“nice place to relax”

the place is very quaint and relaxing. i enjoyed staying there for 3 days over columbus day weekend. i'm definitely going back to just relax and to get away from the city. only drawback is the lack of things to do around the area. but if you just want a quiet place to stay with a really comfy room, then this is it.

“I will stay here again”

On approach the Courtyard appears to be situated in a rundown industrial strip, but don't be alarmed this place is located with a cluster of other good Hotels. On property free parking is gated. The rooms are well maintained. The beds are clean and comfortable. I did not see any restuarants nearby, but Courtyard serves a decent warm breakfast. It is close to an Outlet Mall, Ikea and close to New Jersey Turnpike. There is not much noise or activities.

“Nice hotel and good value”

Very impressive hotel for a nice price. We were going into NYC for a Yankees game but didn't want to stay in the city. This was a great option, Newark Penn Station is only a few miles away. Planes buzz the hotel regularly but I had no trouble sleeping.

“This hotel has all that you would want or need, I can't wait to go back !!”

Large spacious room and extremely helpful staff were just 2 of the positive aspects of this hotel. There is a large main lobby/ lounge area that is well lit and has plenty of comfortable seating. There is always staff at the counter to serve food and drinks until 11 p.m. There's a quiet corner for conducting business, another for tv and another for computers. Very well layed out and for 2 women there was never a time not to feel safe inside or out. The outlet mall across the road is easilly accessible and safe to walk to. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends travelling to New York, as a great alternative to staying right in Manhattan. T.W.
