“good choice”

We frequently visit NYC and stay at a hotel in Secaucus and take the NJ Transit to the city. So we have tried a number of hotels in that location and so far Courtyard Marriott stands out. Reasons 1. Room and bathroom were good sized and CLEAN! 2. Breakfast buffet was good. We took the breakfast inclusive rate. 3. They did not push to sign up any rewards cards etc. which was a relief. 4. Fitness center.

“Served its purpose.”

I have been in better units at Courtyard chain in terms of comfort bedding and tv service. Nonetheless it served its purpose, close to NY City with reliable bus service. Do use services at the deli restaurant on ground floor (food is very good, fast and with discount for using hotel key - a real bargain). Market fridge in the lobby could be better - breakfast at hotel a bit pricey. My son and wife stayed at another hotel (about a mile away - when we booked his room Courtyard was already sold out), cheaper and better accomodations (breakfast included).

“great place to stay to go to NYC!”

this hotel was great! the room was really lovely, quiet, clean, and a good size. the hotel staff were very helpful on how to get to manhattan from the hotel (you can even buy your bus tickets with them and charge it to your room). It was very convenient to get into NYC, a new jersey bus picked us up and dropped us off right outside the hotel doors for only 8$ a person! It costs 8$ at the tolls to take the lincoln tunnel so it was a great deal! Plus it only took us about 15-20 minutes (depending on traffic) to get to the bus terminal which is on 42nd. My only issue with this hotel was getting there was rather scary and difficult for an out of towner. But once you're there, it's great!

“Convenient location to NYC”

Transportation to NYC from this hotel was so convenient. The bus stop is right down the sidewalk and was only $8 round trip...and the bus comes every 15 minutes until midnight. We felt like the hotel was in a secure area and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Good place to stay to visit NYC for far less $$ than Manhattan.

“Courtyard”

This hotel is one of several large chains in this complex. Unlike the other hotels there are few amenities. The Hyatt for example has a free breakfast and a shuttle that will take you anywhere in a 4 mile radius for free. The wallpaper was peeling, the overwhelming smell of burned beef fat wafting up from the Outback Steakhouse on the first floor was nauseating. The rooms were very small compared to other hotels in the same complex. While the price was lower than the Hyatt once you added in breakfast, transportation and general dingyness it really wasn't a cost savings.

“Worked for what we needed.”

Marriott is always a good choice to stay when you are looking in any area of the country. This one was very acceptable for our needs.

“Nice Hotel, Good Rates”

This is a nice hotel that is very convenient for anyone interested in traveling into NYC. It is clean, close to nearby restaurants (in fact, it's connected to an Outback Steakhouse), and nearly across the street from the NJ Transit bus stop. I recommend it to others, and I'll likely return whenever I need to return to NYC.

“Went to Bamboozle at the Meadowlands Sports Complex.”

My daughter and her friend stayed there in May for the "Bamboozle concert" at the Meadowlands. Aside from the minor problem noted above at check in, everything was satisfactory. Would stay again perhaps on a NYC trip.

“Good place to stay for NYC”

I stayed one night in a room with a king bed which was very comfortable. The room also had a couch and was nicely decorated overall. The hotel has good WiFi and a good TV service. Everything was very clean from the bed to bathroom etc. One tip is their shuttle service to the NJ train station; I think you can call and ask to be picked up and they can also drop you off.; it is free as opposed to 15 bucks for a taxi.
