“Surprisingly good hotel”

Overall, I was very impressed with this hotel - clean, comfortable, very convenient to Manhattan by the 7 line subway. The neighbourhood wasn't the best but it seemed safe and is in transition from old industrial to new apartments and hotels. Breakfast and the work-out room are adequate. Parking isn't.

“Block and a half from Subway to Manhattan”

Stayed here before. Comfortable and convenient for the business traveller trying to save a few hundred dollars vs. paying for an a Manhattan hotel. Same applies to tourists. Easy access to everything via the Subway. 7, N and Q trains at the Queensboro Plaza. A couple of blocks east you have the Queens Plaza Subway which gets you the E train. Breakfast area is attractive with many choices of self serve breakfast items. Coffee maker is a brand name but a kludge nonetheless. It makes a lot of noise and when done, you get half a cup. Oh well. Mostly good.

Pro: Cheap, very convenient location for the price, easy to catch the subway or find a taxi, nice view for some rooms Con: a bit nosiy (but at an acceptable level), Very very old towels (which is the most negative things for this hotel), poor quality of breakfast

Hotel was clean, service was great!! Room great with microwave and fridge as well. Subway around the corner!! I will definitely come bck here!!!

Hotel was great for the location and price. Rooms were clean with no hassles. Breakfast was plentiful (when I got up in time). Staff were friendly, courteous and answered my many questions with a smile. Would recommend this Hotel to family and friends.

“great inside but very limited free parking”

Really good service and top quality room. We got a cityview too - bonus! Very accessible to public transit too. However, the parking that is free is very limited (less than 10 cars) so the rest of the "free" parking is on the street and we ended up walking, with luggage, one and a half blocks. There wasn't even a place to stop in front of the hotel to drop off the other passenger with the luggage unless I double-parked!

“Very Clean, Good Breakfast, Close to Train, nothing to do around the hotel”

This is a hotel with a small lobby area, however the rooms are HUGE for new york and VERY clean. Each room has ample space, and a nice flat panel tv, clean bathroom, and clean sheets. My only gripe with the room is that the window does not have blackout shades and is impossible to protect from sunlight. The hotel has a cheap parking lot next to it, for $15.00/24-hours, as well as a major subway station within a 2-3 minute walk, and is about 10 minutes via walking+train combined from manhattan's midtown. Very convenient. There is nothing to do per say around the hotel, and the entire area seems run down, but for what it is, a reasonably priced, comfortable accomodation with a large, clean room, for going out in Manhattan and crashing very close by, its great. Cab rides are very cheap to go back from manhattan to the hotel, since its JUST over the queensboro bridge.
