“Value + Location”
On the site of a former gas station which was located there because of all the traffic going to the East River Drive the hotel is new, modern and well kept. The location is surprisingly convenient. To maximize space there is no lamp on one side of the bed. However this was a small inconvenience. The lobby bar was very convenient in the morning. The upstairs lounge/restaurant had good food at a reasonable price and a great view.

“Would stay again”
After arriving on a red-eye they let me check in early, much appreciated. Friendly staff, clean and noise level not bad considering location. A little far from sub if that's your thing. Overall happy with my stay.
“upper eastside hotel”
One the plus side, the hotel was very conveniently located for my business purposes and the room was rather spacious by New York standards. On the minus side, I never received the 6:30 wake up call I requested, the beds were not particularly comfortable and the towels were thin and rough. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for, so I can't complain too much.
“Pleasantly surprised”
After reading other reviews I did not have high expectations. However I was pleasantly pleased. The staff were very helpful and friendly and gave my mother and me a good room on the 14th floor. The room was very clean and was a reasonable distance (10 minute walk) from the nearest subway.
“Nice hotel, shame about the location”
Modern, well run, clean and comfortable, but sadly, the location IS a major problem. This hotel is located on the upper east side of Manhattan, with no public transport links nearby, so, we were left at the mercy of the New York cabbies, a law unto themselves. By way of an example, one busy evening a ten minute taxi ride from Time Square took 90 minutes (no fault of the driver, merely gridlocked traffic). So, super hotel, but a poor location.
“Very comfortable, friendly stay in NYC”
We had a delux suite which has an extra room with sofa/bed, TV and large desk/dreser. This arrangement avoids the usual cramped NYC hotel experience. Very comfortable. Hotel staff was friendly. Bell captain was absoultely wonderful about arranging car service to nearby hospitals, including short runs. We'll be back!
“would defenitly go back 100%”
Hotel was amazing clean and tidy staff were really helpfull and friendly the location was good even thought it was alittle out the way but for value it was 10 out of 10 its got good local restrants near by that were very good value for money all with A* hygene ratings its about 5mins walk to lexinton av great veiw over the river and of the city would deffo recomend it for people who don't want to spend a furtune on a hotle in NYC but still want a top standard hotel. The nabourhood is very safe as its always a consern when staying somewere that isent on the main strip but all round would recomed to anyone and everyone
“Noisy Room”
Only complaint was extreme noise @ 8:30am till 11am, doors banging, vacumming, cleaning people talking which makes it rough when you don't get in till after 5am in the morn.
“Great place for a reasonable cost in NYC near Central Park and MSKCC”
The hotel is a modern style boutique type hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The cost was great for the area of NYC. Easy walk to reasonable resturants. Staff povided good suggestions for meals and menus. Hotel bar had a great view but high prices.
