“Great Location”
We were very surprised at how nice the hotel was given some reviews. The hotel staff were very pleaseant and helpful . The daily breakfast was nicely done and the dining area very cozy as well as the second floor lobby.. Perhaps a little more variety in the selection for breakfast foods would have been helpful. We were in walking distance of most everywhere, and all though we were only 2 blocks for Bourbon street we didnot hear any of the noises. We especially enjoyed the extra space, as I am an early riser and my husband sleeps in. We would most definitley go back. Also you have use of all the amenities of the Ritz Carlton which is attached. What more can you ask for.
“Great Location”
Very nice hotel
“Ok but could be better”
My room was rather warm and humid. I found it to be poorly cleansed as there was visible dust on the credenza in which the tv was housed and the desk next to it. The mattresses could be updated and made more comfortable. The comforter was outdated and rather dingy looking.
“great value for the money.”
Impressed for the money. Continental breakfast was great. Convenient to cheaper parking if you choose not to pay hotel for parking.
“GREAT STAY”
Right on the edge of the French Quarter for a quick walk. The Bell hop service was kind of irritating though. We were made to feel that we had to have them take up our luggage and then waited 20 minutes for it to arrive. All in all though, a great hotel at a great price.
“Very Nice Experience at Iberville Suites”
We got a great rate which was the factor why we chose the hotel. It is a part of the Ritz-Carlton and we were able to use the gym and spa facilities there at no additional charge. There's a mini fridge in the room which is a very nice thing to have. I would definitely choose to go back.
“Not the Ritz”
We were impressed with everything. The continental breakfast includes making ur own Belgian waffles. However, on our check out day, unable to get valet on the phone, so we went downstairs where we and others waited over 25 mins. With no one there. When employee did show he had no back up. Since this hotel is definitely associated with the Ritz-Carlton next door, we figured they must've needed the employees over there.
“very friendly staff and we look forward to staying there again.”
hotel has a lot of charm, and and is not busy busy like a lot of hotels in the quarter.
“Not impressed.”
We booked this hotel, although it was a little more than we wanted to spend, for it's proximity to Bourbon Street. Because it is attached to the Ritz (and because of the price tag), we expected it to be nice. Finding and getting into the place was a nightmare - poorly marked, no signage directing you once you get into the hotel (you have to go up a level to check in), etc. Checked in with no problems, only to find ourselves locked out of our room by the sliding deadbolt! After THREE calls to the front desk, maintenance showed up to fix it 40 minutes later (just give us a new room!) Got into room to find it was not the king we reserved, but a DOUBLE. Room was billed to sleep 4, but with double bed and super crappy paper thin pullout, it was not comfortable and we were stuck there because hotel was sold out. On night two, we were able to get a queen sized bed (which is what they bill as King?) - a little better. But for the money, the only thing this hotel has going for it is that you can stumble to Bourbon Street and back. Not worth it for the money. Can't believe the Ritz allows itself to be affiliated in any way, given their stellar reputation for quality accommodations and service. Plus the hotel is a ghost town (despite being sold out?) and the front desk staff are all half asleep. We walked through the bar at the Ritz (happening place!) on night #2 and my sister pointed out that it was like walking from the Titanic in its heydey to the sunken ship, lol.
“Quiet, Clean”
Our visit was for pleasure, we were there just to enjoy New Orleans. This was our second visit to the city, our first time staying at this hotel. Overall the hotel was great. It was quiet and clean and the people were friendly. You are far enough off Bourbon street that you didn't hear the ruckus but close enough that you could walk to most places. If I had to give one negative it would be that you shared amenities with the Ritz next door.
