“friendly saff. Great service.”
Friendly staff. Close to Interstate and attractions.
“Average hotel”
Average hotel, but offers shuttle service and breakfast, that was quite useful.
“My Stay at The La Quinta Inn New Haven,Ct.”
I had a nice stay at this hotel. Room was accommodating, flat screen t.v. was cool. Only thing i didn't like was that there was no refrigerator. Other than that,it was a pleasant time. I'd definitely go back.
“Great value”
I arrived very late in the evening (it was ealy Dec) and the staff was very courteous. I got a quiet, clean and confortable room. After a good night's rest, I had a continental breakfast (which was included in the rate) and checked out. The hotel's surrounding is not beautiful but it is close to Yale University, i.e. a little over a mile to where I needed to go. Free and quick WiFi was a big plus. If I had stayed with hotels closer to the campus, I would have spent the double of what I paid. This hotel was a great value for a good night sleep.
“nice and affordable in new haven”
The hotel fits all basic needs of travelers. I stayed in this hotel three times. The location is less competitive but the price is affordable. They have a shuttle to Yale or airport so it is fine. The stuffs are friendly and helpful. Recommend it!
“decent room”
we stayed after a storm knocked out power to our home - needed a place close to the house and to the office (which still had electricity so we needed to go to work). The room was not fancy but was clean and reasonably qquiet. Breakfast was provided and was good. For the price, this was ok. Not a place to impress your in-laws (there is some wear and tear in the place), but a decent clean room. And the staff was friendly and very helpful.

“Would look around but not rule out”
The only complaints were with the shuttle service & front desk response. I would call down from my room and when finally answered (sometimes had to call several times) to reserve the shuttle and they would say yes. Then when I went down shuttle wasn't there. Since I was going to a wedding I was a bit annoyed. However, I will say that the shuttle drivers are the best! Polite, friendly and new area extremely well (most grew up there). Overall not a bad experience, just frustrating at times. I would stay here again. No pretty views from the hotel, just an FYI. On the map you think it's close to water.....NOT! So don't go there expecting a oceanview.
“Sleepless in Long Wharf New HAven”
I requested a non-smoking Suite There was none available. No suite either. Then I was given a room with a guest already occupying the room. I opened the door and disturbed the sleeping guest. I was so embarrased and scared as I am sure so was the other guest. The room noise crazy. It was by the elevator and guests were roaming the halls and making noise all through the night. No sleep was to be had. Only thing nice about the place was the staff. Oh, and since I couldn't sleepwith al the noise I tried watching the TV, forget it!! the channels weren't working either.
“convenient for access not far from city center”
I found this hotel to be very convenient to get to and not far from city center; it doesn't have much around it, but you don't have to go far to be in the thick of things. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Not sure I'd walk too far in New Haven on my own no matter where I stayed, but driving is easy and parking not to difficult to find.
