“Nice and affordable...”
It's a nice place to stay, clean and convenient for Price and location,
“Clean and cheerful older style hotel”
This is an older property, but it is clean and the staff are cheerful and helpful.
“Covenient for Walmart and I91”
This hotel was easy to find close to the Interstate and just over the road from Wal Mart for anything you need. The room was of a good quality with excellent shower comfortable beds. The only thing missing was a freezer unit in the fridge. The microwave was a bonus and enabled food to reheated.
“Horrible Customer Service, But For the Price, Can't be Beat”
We needed a cheap place to stay overnight and for the price this couldn't be beat. After we checked in we discovered our room was horribly warm and stuffy. We turned the AC on and after about 10 minutes the compressor switched off. We gave it about half an hour and still no cold air. We called down to the front desk and were told "not to use anything in the room" and they would sent someone up. The repair man came in and fooled around with it for about 10 minutes and he called down to the front desk and told her it was working. We told her we disagreed and wanted another room. She gave us a comparable room across the hall. Fortunately the cleaning service had just completed the room and we were able to get right in. Soon thereafter the woman from the front desk came in and told us the AC was fine in the other room and we just hadn't let it run long enough and asked us to go back. We walked over and it was still oppressively hot. We told her we and wanted to stay in the second room. After another lecture about how we just weren't patient enough (it had now been running an hour!) she begrudgingly let us stay. All we wanted from the included continental breakfast was a cup of coffee. However, the creamer had clearly been sitting out and curdled as soon as we put it in the coffee. Despite all this, we would still stay again and recommend it. The room was large and clean and for the price was worth it. If you don't mind lousy customer service, stay here!
“Not good in New Haven”
Unsafe: exterior doors (on the back side of the building) were propped open by management to "air things out". In the back parking lot was a stripped car. We checked for bedbugs- but did not find any. Couldn't get out of there fast enough.
“Great Hotel”
We had a great experience. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and we would definitely come back.
“Practical, affordable, convienent location”
Room was clean. From the look of the bathroom features it had been updated sometime in the past 5 years. A faint smell of smoke in the non-smoking room seemed to be stuck in the carpet. Felt safe. Close to a number of fast food restuarants and shops. Across the street from Walmart. It's a decent place to lay your head after a busy day out and about.
“Strictly Unpleasent”
Pros: Staff was friendly. Warm heater. Cons: Dirty room. Nosey fan. Stale cigarette smell EVERYWHERE! Neighborhood sucks. Glaring lights from wall-mart. Broken refrigerator. Stained shower curtain. Urine smelling toilet. Weird dim but fluorescent lighting. Unclean comforter with residual of stale perfume/cologne. Overall Rating: F+ Worst U.S. Hotel I have ever stayed in. Odd too because usually the Holiday Inn has an 'ok' reputation.
“Not too bad”
The room was nice and clean. Free WiFi and continental breakfast was available. Wal-Mart is right across the street and a Dunkin Donuts next door, among other stores and eateries. The only problem I had was that some of the rooms on the floor were smoking and the whole hallway stunk of smoke.
“Good place”
This hotel is very good, they clean the room every day, add new towels and soap. But you should bring a toothbrush and a tooth paste with you because it is not available. The location is excellent.. i is in front of walmart. there is a bus stop nearby take you to downtown and then to Union Station( the Bus and train terminal of the city) if you plan to visit Boston or New York, I highly recommend this hotel.
