“very conveniet”

the hotel is very close to 95 highway so you need a car to get there. the sourrounding area is recidencial but 10 minutes car stores and malls can be found.

Area recommendations

visit New Heaven, you shouldnt leave this area without visiting Yale its sourrounding area

Must see

Yale university complex of buildings, specially Yale Library, olso recomend to visit New Heaven downtown

“Adrift at the Marriott Orange”

Our arrival followed some egregiously heavy snowfalls. The lobby was therefore a little stained and damp from the traffic. While the desk clerk was courteous, there was minimal information provided about the facility. We were not told of the complimentary coffee bar, newspapers or local phone/internet services. We had to discover them ourselves. The cleaning staff were courteous in their deportment but ought not to be vacuuming nearby when clients are on the telephone or in close conversation. We thought that would have been obvious. We found the "Orange" a bit out of the way for our visit to New Haven but it was not a bad experience. It was typical.

“A Good Place to Stay”

I found this hotel to be in a convenient but out of the way location. The rooms were in good condition and the bed was comfortable. I would return here and would recommend this hotel to others.

“Enjoyable stay”

We reserved two rooms with tow double beds, non-smoking. We were given two rooms on the 2nd floor and I noticed a smell of cigareete smoke in the hallway. One room smelled heavily of cigarettes so we were given anothe room right away. That was the only problem. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was maintained very well. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.

“Best place to stay in New Haven”

Business travelers dream!! The new Courtyard by Marriott design meets and exceeds all my expectation for a great business trip. The kids would love it here as well.

Area recommendations

Easy access off of I 95 and in addition to the bar and lite fare at the hotel there was an Outback Steakhouse in a minutes walk without crossing a street.

“Quality is slipping---not worth the cost”

We have stayed here satisfactorily many times over the years. However, the last visit was different: threadbare, undersized bath towels; coffee for one in a room reserved for two, and no tissues in the dispenser. Are they taking us for granted?

“Not remarkable, but a nice place.”

The staff was very friendly and helpful (for example, when my first room key didn't work properly, they gave me a free breakfast to make up for it). The room was clean and neat, although it smelled just a little bit of cleaning supplies...a trend I've noticed in most hotels these days. I'm sure if they changed their "scent" or what, but it seems way more overpowering than it used to be. It always makes me a bit nervous because it feels like they're trying to cover something up. But nonetheless, the room was comfortable. Location is conveniently off of 95 only about 5 minutes from downtown New Haven, and a good stop between Hartford and New York.
