“Charming Hotel, overlooking the ocean.”

Loved the location on this hotel. We arrived just as the lobster festival was ending. We were able to walk to the outdoor stage but could also hear all the performers from the hotel if we had wanted to. Great restaurants were within easy walking distance as was the Fisherman's Museum and the Hector Museum (a must see in Pictou)! Check-in was easy. We think it was the owners who were at the front desk. A lovely couple. They provided us with lots of useful information and, in the morning when we checked out, they took the time to help us out with driving times as we headed toward Cape Breton Island. A terrific informational gem we received from the front desk was to use the Visitor Information centres to help us book our next hotel. This was so easy. We ended up using the centre twice to help us make reservations! A breeze and a wonderful convenience when you are not quite sure where you will end up on your journey. We would definitely stay here again!

“Not impressed”

The people were nice and informative. However, it was disappointing to not have restaurant available. The room was smaller than expected. The bathroom was cramped.

Excellent restaurant - Piper's Landing outside city Downtown Pictou is lovely!

“Best Scottish hotel in Pictou”

WE checked in after touring the Scottish heritage town of Pictou, where this hotel was recommended as the best for dinner in town. As we had already made reservation for dinner, this was great news. The dinner was as described, Great! WE had pan-fried Halibut and the special, Seafood Wellington, accompanied by lovely sauteed vegetables. The room had a beautiful view of Pictou harbor and a comfortable King bed ( and AC) . The owners gave lots of info about the town, about leaving NS via Halifax airport, the Sunrise Trail, they know everything. The decor is lovely. For the price I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel.

“Well-Done”

A beautiful hotel run by very nice and thoughtful people. It was the off-season and the place was nearly empty, but management went out of their way to make us feel at home.
