We spent one night in a garden bungalow which was nice, a little bit dated but decent size and had everything we needed. We then spent another night in an overwater bungalow which was fantastic and would definitely stay in one again. Staff were expecting us when we arrived and had drinks to welcome us and all the paperwork for our booking ready. Boat transfers were also well organised.
Great location, we were lucky enough to snorkel with turtles twice in the water just under the bungalows and went jetskiing on two of the days just off the island.
Were given a 50% off dinner voucher which was great and food was good and plentiful - loads of seafood and a grill where they cook meats at your request. Breakfast buffet was included in both our room bookings and was a great way to start the day with omelettes or pancakes made to order and a wide range of other stuff.
Great to be able to get a island getaway so close to Noumea.
This luxury hotel was revamped a couple of years ago and is stylish, immaculate, and perfectly sited directly on the beach. Rooms are large and spacious with large kitchen and full size fridge permitting self catering. Service was always courteous, prompt and we had absolutely no problems during our stay. The staff and our fellow guests (mostly French) were very friendly, and people dressed well and there was an air of sophistication about the place. Breakfast was generous, and never crowded. The lagoon outside allows you to walk out or snorkle directly onto the reef.
The hotel has a very good place, on the most beautiful bay of Noumea : Anse Vata. The bus stop is just at the front of the hotel. A lot of shops and restaurants around (and tourism /information point). The people at the reception are very relevant, welcoming and kind. The room are comfy and clean. So very good hotel !
I have spent a very good stay here. Just one thing is not like on the photo, is the swimming pool, it is small, not huge like on the photos but enough, i was not here for the swimming pool ;)
The hotel was actually better than presented in the add. The upper levels have beautiful views over the lagoon, the hotel is set back from the main street, it is quiet and private. Has nice facilities and the restaurants, tourist shops and booking outlets for the attractions in the area are all next door. Really a pleasant experience, has a bit of yesteryear flavor but in a chic way, fits with the french/retro character of the town.
The only downsides of the visit was the lack of signage for the carpark, had to circle 3 times until we found the entry. Actually we found it first time but because of our poor language we didn't explain clearly enough to the staff member we met in the car park what we are looking for, and we were redirected to Hilton. The source of the confusion is that the locals call the hotel Nouvata, while the booking was for the hotel Park, which is part of the complex Nouvata Park.
Another slightly annoying thing was the room service schedule, which is between 12 and 2 PM, when we wanted to have some rest. However the maid was helpful after we explained our intentions and she worked around our schedule, doing the cleaning while we were out. The all you can eat breakfast is really good, on the expensive side but the food is divers, caters for any taste.
Overall we were pleased with the hotel services and we would recommend it.
We have stayed to nights in a traditional room. The room was beautiful with a nice terrasse with modern furnitures. We enjoyed the pool, the beach. The two restaurants are really attractive. The food is good and fresh. The only things that we didn't like is the long road to get there.
