When my husband got on his hands and knees to plug in his CPap machine, it looked like the floor near the baseboard had not been vacuumed in this century. While I understand that the B&B is very old, there is no excuse for not vacuuming places where the guests can see i.e. the corners of the room where one can look under the table and see past the legs of the furniture. It was extremely dusty. On the plus side -- the breakfast was good and hearty. The receptionist on the day we checked in was good; the one who checked us out could not care less about anything, and it showed. We won't be back.

We are very disappointed to read this. Our GM was away on a family emergency but we are changing our protocols to ensure that there are two pair of eyes on every room. We look to clean both where people can and they can't see! I agree with you that there is no excuse for this and if you decide to come back we will heavily discount your room and make sure your experience is stellar. We have many other positive reviews so that makes this even more of an unsettling read.

Nice room and clean. Dinner was great at the small restaurant. Cons: parking lot is limited, no coffee pot in room, no one at front desk when checking in. They had left work early without a replacement. So it took a while to check in.

Yes, unfortunately our GM was away on a medical emergency so we had to do what we could with the remaining staff so we hope you will come back again and give us another shot at it!

The beds were very comfortable, the shower had good pressure and the staff were hospitable and welcoming. We did not receive any housekeeping besides trash removal every few days and 1 towel refresh. The staff works very very hard. The restaurant is delicious. The facilities are quaint, but very outdated. The location is superb, totally walkable.

I love this property so much. The rooms are furnished in actual antiques and the beds are very comfortable. I feel like I am stepping back in time. The restaurant is delicious and we love starting our day with the breakfast that is included. You can easily walk to restaurants and shopping. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

All was great. Only issue was that restaurant was closed at 7 am. Breakfast was included in rate but I had no opportunity to eat breakfast at the property. Tub in room 259 needs repair.

This lovely Stately Mansion is near the centre of town, parking was plentiful in the street, and walking in the surrounding streets was great with all the historic mansions to view. The riverfront is an easy 10 minute walk - and well worth doing at sunset. This was a perfect change from the usual hotel room.

Love this place!
Great stay. Employees were super friendly. Gorgeous property. Beautiful decorations. Homemade(?) chocolate chip cookies left out for guests as well as water, coffee, hot tea, and hot chocolate. Included breakfast at attached restaurant was delicious. We travel to Natchez often & we’ll definitely stay here again.

Property common areas looked pretty good but room and exterior was very tired desperately due a refresh from paint, carpet, tattered drapes and looks like it was due for remodel 15 years ago.

40th anniversary together
The historic Mansion was spectacular, we had a great time, the staff took care of any of the requests that we had right away. We were able to park just outside of the front door of the mansion, very easy for us too unload and reload our vehicle. It was one of the nicest places, things to see and explore in the historic mansion. A truly great place to stay.

I have already made a reservation here for our next trip back to Natchez. This property is so special. Our room was large and the bed very comfortable. If you appreciate historic architecture you will love it here. The restaurant is also wonderful. We especially loved our server and the food was delicious. We had paid for a room with a king bed but they gave us a queen bed. They said since we booked with Hotels. Com at a discount they could change our room. Also the shower control was broken and could not take a tub bath, had only the showy. We did love the locTand the restaurant, but the lady on chef kout had an attitude when I asked why we didn’t get a king bed.

As with most older properties when you enter you can smell some dust. The property looks lovely with paintings and drapes decorating rooms throughout. Breakfast was included and quite good. The server was helpful and friendly as was the general manager. When I checked in they didn’t see my reservation and I had to show my confirmation which set out which room I reserved. The room tv couldn’t be turned on by the remote so I had to ask the manager how to turn it on. Since they know the remote is a problem it would be helpful to just put a note by the tv explaining how it works. I found someone else’s hair in the shower today so the tub wasn’t quite clean. There are no refrigerators in the rooms. I travel with medicine that needs to be refrigerated so they put it in a little refrigerator behind the desk but it had no freezer in which to put my ice packs for travel the next day. When I went to collect my medicine from that fridge and check out no one was at the desk. I waited a while called the number left on the desk for that purpose but it rang at the desk. I was told by another guest she saw someone sitting on the porch. I went out there and found the employee in a rocking chair on the porch on her phone. This was morning when most guests are checkout, not a great time to sit out on the porch. Overall it was a pleasant stay but had some wrinkles to be worked out.

The room was beautiful and the Mansion is in a great location. However the place is a bit dated with old carpets etc. There was a long wait to get a table for breakfast. Dirty glasses were left out on the porch for days.

They have a coffee pot for guest near the restaurant. The pot was not changed during our stay, and what was in it was oil. No coffee in the room, so this was your only option.

Love the Victorian atmosphere and furnishings. Loved the courtyard very beautiful and a quiet place in the morning to sip coffee and read my Bible. Easy access for walking to all the sites. Helpful information on tours.

Great hotel; good restaurant
The room was comfortable and clean, and I loved the classic charm of the property. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and where the food was mostly excellent (one exception was the breakfast potatoes, which tasted freezer burned). The restaurant was clearly short staffed. We had the same server for both meals, and she was the only server there. She did a fine job, but she needed help. I would still go back; hopefully they’ll have another server by then.
