First all inclusive trips lives up to the hype!

Posted 20-Nov-2014
Pros: All inclusive, adults only, and GREAT staff! We can't say enough about the staff, especially spa therapists Marcel and Marcian, and Arthur in Eden!
Cons: There were a couple things that could have been better. The sails on the windsurfing were damaged. So, we didn't get to use them. They were waiting fo
Location: We left once for Nassau. We spent our other days on the Resort and never felt lost for something to do! Very relaxing!
In short, my wife and I loved it! Great people, great location, great service, and great food. We really can't say enough about this placed. Adults only and the drinks are included also, so..., there was a bit of partying going on at times. However, there is plenty of space to find your own quiet place, whether on the beach, in one of the gardens, or one of the many other places. Basketball, volley ball, tennis, kayaks, and more! This was a great place to celebrate our 5th anniversary! Next time, we'll try to bring some friends along to share the fun!

Outdated hotel. Unfriendly staff.

Posted 17-Nov-2014
Pros: The bed was reasonably comfortable. The pool bar staff was friendly. The pool cook shack food was not bad.
Cons: The whole place could use a thorough cleaning and repair. The food, drinks, and entertainment should have a better quality and more variety.
Location: You can take a bus into Nassau or walk along the beach to a casino. The beach is nice but you will be constantly bothered by vendors.
This hotel is outdated and poorly maintained. More importantly the majority of the staff is rude ( the exception being the pool bartenders ). At check in I was told I had to pay for the hotel ( even though I had prepaid ) to resolve this I was ushered into a back room and had to call expedia for them through a poor international connection ( although they could have easily straightened this out themselves they were unwilling to be bothered) So I spent 2 hours after a very lengthy trip in a back room at the hotel on the phone. Housekeeping consistently ignored the do not disturb sign and either knocked on the door or called on the phone repeatedly if you don't answer the door ( typically between 8:30 and 9:30 AM) The entertainment is almost exactly the same every day. Same sound track by the pool. Same show every evening including the same bad jokes night after night. The pool does not appear to be clean , is not heated and you have to be ok sharing it with seagulls. They offer one kind of beer and one kind of wine ( one white one red )and no option for upgrades. No top shelf liquor. The food is marginal at best. Breakfast is only available until 10 AM. The buffet on any given day is the same for lunch and dinner. The specialty restaurants are unable to accommodate the demand and you are typically turned away after standing in line. The piano bar is extremely cold and smells of something like sewage. It was too unpleasant to be in there at all.

Pros: One very nice bellman.
Cons: Everything.
Location: Bus into Nassau was cheap and we took every opportunity to leave resort.
I booked this resort for my honeymoon. I booked a king ocean view room. The room my husband and I got had two double beds and largely had a view of nearby construction. Not very romantic. The room was not clean and there was a lip gloss from a previous guest on the floor with unidentified substance on floor near trash can. I asked to switch rooms at the front desk, possibly an upgrade ocean front room. I was told to check back the next day. The next morning, front desk called to let me know an ocean front room would cost an extra $75 dollars a day but was available. We were told to vacate room by 11 am and that our new room would be available by 2pm. After waiting in line at front desk for a half hour, we were told that there were no ocean front rooms available that we were getting a king bed room. We were then told the room wasn't ready and to check back in an hour. We had experiences like these until we left. Very disappointing honeymoon...I was surprised based on the reviews I read before booking.

Good but not great.

Posted 06-Nov-2014
Pros: Free Wifi, food was good, beach was beautiful.
Cons: Service in the buffet area need a lot of improvement. Mattresses need to be replaced or at least offer a pad for those that request it.
Location: Great location close to town and bus stop is right outside.
First of all, if you are picky do not stay here. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of good things about Breezes. The beach is beautiful, the food was good (we only ate buffet and Garden of Eden), and the newly renovated bathroom in our room was nice, and there was free wifi that we used in room and on the beach. However, the bad things left us disappointed. The worst thing was the wait staff at the buffet. It was impossible to get a drink other than water without a very long wait (usually after we finished our meals). We finally gave up and had to resort to getting our own drinks, which was not in an easily accessible area, and we saw many others having to do the same. There was also the issue of the rock hard beds. We repeatedly complained to the front desk and housekeeping but they never offered any solutions such as a foam pad or mattress pad. We were unfortunately also waken every morning at 7 AM to the sounds of construction on the floor above. Again we complained but were not offered to be moved to another location. The walls are also very thin so we heard the tv, shower running, toilets flushing constantly of both neighbors. The value of this hotel for all inclusive and a beautiful beach would make it worth a visit for some, but we won't be back.

Third visit

Posted 06-Nov-2014
Pros: Relaxing atmosphere. Can join in with the staff at the pool and beach for games...fun. The pool and beach staff much more friendly than the check in
Cons: Hotel could use repairs to doors...most looked pretty beat-up.
Location: Only time we left was to go downtown to straw market and did some window shopping. Shops close early.
Sweet, having an ocean front ground floor room. Walk out the sliding door onto the beach....great. Checking in takes longer than it should. Entry guards and bellman are very cordial and full of information about the hotel and the Bahamas. Weather was not ideal...windy, very windy. Told this type of weather usually occurs in December.

nice beach, but...........

Posted 03-Nov-2014
Pros: The entertainment staff, bartenders outstanding. availability of food and drink was great. view of course, was superb!
Cons: Maintenance of hotel, upgrading fixtures. More attention paid to clearing the beach and waterfront. Deal with seagulls in pools. FIX HOT TUB!!!!
This hotel staff gets a 5 for trying. They made the stay great. The food Is really good and plentiful, but some cold. They heat some, but not other entrees. weird. HOT tub/Jacuzzi not working.....The pool is overrun by seagulls. I would not go in. Never saw that before in all my years of traveling. Swimming area could have been kept up better-over run by seaweed that should have been removed. Fixtures were old and some pitted, mildew smell throughout hotel. Entertainment and singers were great. Bahamas have come a long way in the 32 years we have not gone...people much friendlier and nice.

best beach of Nassau & Paradise

Posted 28-Oct-2014
we visited the hotel in October 2014 as a couple. before we went for this hotel we were expecting a dull hotel. after we checked in, we saw that the hotel is a bit old. BUT there is a very big but. The hotel is on Nassau island and i can say that the beach in front of the hotel is almost isolated for the hotel customers. there is no facility near the hotel which makes it a silent and private beach. to let you know, we also made a visit to the paradise island and the hotels in that island and all i can say is that don't go there if you want to have a rest in the beach. The paradise island hotel beaches were full of people and there was no place to swim and we did not feel secure at all. anyway, coming back to Breezes Hotel, the food variety and the taste is perfect. The staff is very helpful. The white sand beach is perfect. Every night there is live music and entertainment. It is also very close to Nassau city center and can reach to the city by taking a minibus from the bus stop very close to the hotel. In short very good value for the money.

Great times & beautiful beach

Posted 20-Oct-2014
A little bit of a rough start but the staff was quick to make it up to us. We were given an upgraded room, complimentary cabana & spa credit for some minor inconvenience. The rooms could use some updating but comfortable. High energy staff & delicious food!! The beach is beautiful!!!

Beautiful hotel and right on the beach

Posted 05-Oct-2014
Cons: When on the beach, it is uncomfortable to be solicited to all day with people walking up and down trying to sell you stuff & more umbrellas for shade
Location: Only 5-10 min to downtown Market Place and can a bus that run every 10 mins at low rates! This is a place you need to visit .........100's of shops!
The hotel was very accommodating with their inclusive package. Anytime of the day you are able to have something to eat and drink and the staff is very friendly!! There is enough room at the pool area to swim with the 3-4 different pools.
