Inexpensive Getaway

Posted 08-Apr-2014
Pros: Inexpensive cost, all-inclusive
Cons: Hotel needs to be updated and renovated.
Location: We stayed on the resort
My hubby and I just returned from a 3 night/ 4 day stay at Breezes. We read all the reviews ahead of time, and knew this wasn't going to be a 5-star resort, but Breezes definitely served our purpose - on a budget. The hotel is outdated, but we didn't care, as long as we had the beach, sunshine and a fruity drink in hand. The drinks were good (and strong), but don't expect top-shelf liquor. Again, if that's what you're looking for, look elsewhere. The staff was fun and helpful and did their best to keep guests entertained. The food buffet was good - actually, better than we expected. It was nice to not have to worry about paying additional for each meal and drink we ordered. The main dining area was recently renovated and was very nice. The resort seems to cater toward spring-breakers, and we had a ton of high-school spring breakers while we were there. That was probably our biggest complaint, but we were able to find beach chairs on the beach, away from the craziness. I recommend sitting away from the outdoor grill area, as the seagulls have no fear and WILL swoop down and take the food right out of your hand, if you're not paying attention. The rooms were just okay. The staff did their best to keep them clean, but it's obvious the hotel could use a cosmetic update. Overall, my husband and I were pleased with the experience, and would return again for another mini-vacation on a budget.

The staff was wonderful, cant say enough helpful

Pros: everything, there were no disappointments..... The staff is the best
Cons: I am a very early riser in the morning and would have liked to be able to get coffee earlier than it was available.
Location: The straw market and the dolphin encounter were very close by the hotel. We were able to take public transportation anywhere we wanted to go.
the entire staff could not have done more to make our stay any better. they went out of their way no matter what they were doing to help you. They were very focused on the customer needs and always smiled, friendly and courteous. They are the reason we are already planning our return visit. The hotel was extreme clean, great nightly entertainment, a great experience, can't wait to go back.

Welcoming atmosphere, great beach, fun events.

Pros: I loved the cleanliness and the staff and the food.
Cons: The outdoor pool could be heated.
Location: The beach is beautiful, and you can take a bus or cab to the Atlantis Hotel or the Straw Market.
This was the first trip I have ever booked by myself, and it was for a mother-daughter spring break getaway. We had a fabulous time! The hotel staff was so welcoming and as soon as we had those wristbands on for free food and drinks were were on our way to fun and sun. There was not that usual "we didn't enjoy our first day because we were settling in." We hit the lunch buffet and the beach posthaste and never looked back. We went to a live music show at the hotel that night. Yes the hotel is older but the rooms and grounds are immaculate and every meal we had was great, whether at the breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets, the outdoor grill, or the two specialty reservations. I frankly did not know what to expect, but we brought our best outfits and attitudes and we had the most relaxing and memorable experience. Recommended!!

Beautiful resort right on the beach

Posted 10-Mar-2014
Pros: The staff was excellent, the food was delicious, the drinks were great, the activities offered were very fun.
Cons: The rooms are a bit outdated. As are some of the shows at night, they seem a bit disorganized, however they were entertaining.
Location: Excellent location! Right on the beach with a beautiful view. Only a few minutes from the airport and a very short bus ride into downtown Nassau.
Really pleasant experience. Absolutely loved the pool area, the food, the beach, and the staff. The staff treated us very well the entire stay. When we first arrived we felt as though our room had a mold smell so we asked to change rooms, the woman at the front desk took us around to different rooms allowing us to make sure they were okay. She was very sweet and did not get upset about our unusual request. After that we got moved to the third floor and everything else went very smoothly. I can not say enough about how friendly the staff was. The two restaurants at the resort are excellent. We were able to get reservations for 4 of the 5 nights we were there. Would definitely go back.

Fun time in an older resort

Posted 04-Mar-2014
Pros: Very nice staff for the most part. We enjoyed the food. We like that is a smaller resort and you don't have to walk a mile to eat.
Cons: 1. Have bottles of water for the guests... I think this is a must 2. bigger plastic cups at the bars.
We just spent 4 days at the Breezes Bahamas. Lots of fun and over all good time. Most of the staff was great but there were a few that need to work on there customer service skills. Yes its a little dated but over all its a nice place. The food was very good. I would go back! 2 things I think need to be fixed 1. Have bottles of water for the guests... I think this is a must. Strong booze and the hot sun are great but sometimes you just need some water to sip on. You can get water at the bars but in a plastic cup 2. bigger plastic cups at the bars. Now I like a strong drink and love a good vacation buzz like most but the small cups and hot sun make it easy to go to far. Most places I've been to gave the option of asking for a "Tall Glass" (i.e same amount of booze but more mix)

Look for other options

Pros: They make a good drink
Cons: The seating of guests in the dining room. There is absolutely no order at all in who does what. Lots of staff people but they all seem confused.
Location: Only went to straw market area
Resort needs a major face lift. Outdated rooms, cracked & chipped tile, overall has the appearance of unclean. Staff overall is not friendly, yes there are a few who went out of their way but overall not friendly. The only asset to breezes was their night time entertainment but the acoustics needed fine tuning. Food was decent but that was a hit or miss, pool area ran out of beach towels by 10:00am. More towels arrived but 2 hours later. Bar ran out of beer two days in a row. Not sure how an all inclusive runs out of beer unless they're not paying their vendors. Registration was slow and so was check out. This resort is geared for 35 and younger crowd. It took three rooms to finally get what I had originally booked. If you're on a very tight budget, like to drink, eat & sunbathe, then this resort will work for you.
