“Stay in Paradise”
Nice, clean hotel. A bit of a walk to the rest of the attractions and restaurants at Atlantis, but it helped worked off the calories! As this is one of the older hotels of Atlantis, the walls were a bit thin. This did not detract much from the enjoyment of staying here.
“Atlantis is fun, but not always relaxing”
If you want a vacation filled with things to do, the Atlantis is a great place. But if you are looking for a Caribbean vacation where you can kick back and relax, the Atlantis is not the place to go. Great place for kids though b/c they love the pools, slides and aquariums.
“never choose terrace view room, it was terrible!”
Atlantic resort is good for children and the family with young kids. But this resort is not my taste. it was too public. I prefer more private atmosphere.
“great fun will be back.”
A little to far from events, food was way over priced in hotel, for having this a childrens theme park there should be a beverage package or vending machines available at a reasonable rate.
“Awesome Stay in Paradise”
The Beach Tower is the least expensive of all the Atlantis hotels, but it is very clean, comfortable, and conveniently located to the beach. Since we went during low season, we were upgraded to a room with an ocean view free of charge. The Atlantis property has a Disney-like feel to it. There's plenty of fun for everyone of all ages, but bring plenty of cash for food, souvenirs, and other activities. Food at the resort was expensive, although the dinner buffet at the Marketplace was superb. For lunch, the poolside carts had sandwiches, wraps, chips, drinks, and cookies for a reasonable price. We did the Shallow Water Dolphin Experience, where we got to meet and touch a dolphin. The event didn't last even close to the 90 minutes as advertised, but it was still fun. They make a hefty profit on the photos they'll try to sell you afterwards. To save money on food, stop by a grocery store on your way in to stock up on drinks and snacks. Go to the Fish Fry area for an authentic and delicious Bahamian dinner. For lunch, visit the various shacks across the bridge. They're not much to look at, but they're good and cheap. Conch is a local staple, so try the conch salad, conch fritters, and cracked conch. We heard a lot about The Poop Deck, but we found it to be overpriced and overrated. On certain evenings, stop by the Coral Towers lounge where you'll find a native singer/comedian named Wendell. He's got a wonderful voice and personality that will keep you laughing.
“Atlantis is over-rated”
The staff at Atlantis was disarmingly uncooperative and unfriendly. Not at all what I expected, especially considering the price. I'll never go back.
“Impressive Hotel, but Beware of unauthorized charges”
Hotel was Excellent. Food is very expensive and not very good. You can take a water taxi to nassau and buy much better food and it is still about one half of what you would pay in atlantis inclusive of the cost of the water taxi. Be careful about the hotel charges. We never used anything in the bar fridge, but we got a bill for around $20. When we got back we noticed another bogus charge for around $45 on our credit card. These bogus charges left us with a sour taste. Also nothing is free in the Hotel...A bottle of water will cost you $6. Internet $15/day. They nickle and dime you for everthing eventhough the room rates are very high(the gratuities and taxes alone run around $70/day). We attended a time share presentation and we never received the $100 hotel credit they promised for attending. The guy told us that we would get the $100 credit only if we bought a timeshare. That was a complete waste of time. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but will stick with the all inclusive packages to Mexico/Panama/Dom Rep. etc. Cheaper and better service.
“OK but not exceptional”
Atlantis was not as good as expected, as many of the aqua & restaurants were closed in October to ready them for the winter season. Hotel staff were for the most part nice but the Cove staff need some re-training. Value meals at lunch were very reasonable. Best food was over in Nassau especially Seafood Haven in the Fish Fry. Not sure I would go back in off-season given the lack of facilities open.
“Atlantis for an affordable price”
I never thought I'd be able to afford Atlantis, but with a cheap fall special, my friend and I booked a 6 night stay. The Beach Tower is actually very surprisingly nice for the price, and it's got it's own cool sea turtle and fish exhibits right behind it. Super close to the beach, super close to a nice pool and lazy river (which were closed while we were there for maintenance, boooo). A short walk to the casino, Marina, and restaurants, and the water slides of course. You still get access to all the awesome Atlantis amenities, but pay half of what the other towers cost, I was very pleased. Atlantis itself was awesome, since we were on a budget, we ate at the Atlas Bar and Grill, Bimini Grill, SeaGrapes, and splurged one night on the Marketplace Buffet. Food is overpriced for sure, but that's to be expected. If you ask for a drink strong, you will get it strong! Otherwise sometimes they can be a little too fruity. Quick tip, the Powerboat Adventure tour, was AMAZING! I can't believe I snorkeled with sharks, fed stingrays, and iguanas, and hung out on a beautiful private island with open bar all day! Call the place direct and you get a better deal than if you go through the resort. Best thing we did.
“Sheets were dirty!!”
The Hotel and location was decent, however when we arrived we had to wait 4 hours to check in. The first night we called housekeeping because one on the bed sheets were not clean! It was actually dirty from someones period, if you ladies know what i mean! REALLY GROSS!! I wouldn't however pay more money to stay at the other Atlantis hotels, as the beach tower is not as far from everything as it appears on the maps!! The hotels also have free shuttles, so you can get around easily if you want. The stay over all was good, but definately check your hotel bill at the end as they tried to charge us for a in-room movie that we did not order or watch. They also tried to charge us for the mini bar which we did not use either, as we do not drink alcohol. They did remove the charges with no problems , so that goes in their favor. Just keep an eye on these things and your stay there will be just fine!! For the money it was an overall good choice.

The Potters Cay fish market is an easy detour from Paradise Island. Grouper and conch are typical catches of the day.
