“"Not Impressed"”
The Hotel is old and not very well kept. The room had a musty-smoky smell even dough I requested a non-smoking room. The bathroom was not properly, there were footprints on the floor and it looked that the toilet bowl had not been clean, the toilet roll holder was so filty that had a crust of dirt.
“Close to stadium”
Hotel was very close to stadium but the interstate traffic was very loud. If you want to be able to walk to the stadium..stay here. If you have trouble sleeping because of noise..check else where.
“Nice location and friendly staff”
I booked this hotel as a last minute resolution to a previous hotel room that was unacceptable. The staff was friendly and I liked the location. Downtown is a short walk. I would stay here again.
“Worked for us.”
Nice people and a spot to lay your head.
“Not impressed with rude staff”
Watch out for hidden parking fees that are added to your bill and that were never mentioned on arrival.
“Needs updating!”
It was definitely not a 2 star hotel. I would only give it a 1 - just because it is in dire need of updating.
“Be careful what you ask for!”
The cost of the hotel was not commensurate with the room. Expedia does not tell you that the room YOU purchased was only on the back side of the hotel closest to the highway. The traffic noise was unbearable. The musty smell in the room was tolerable after you got used to it. The wall sized mirror next to the bed was...interesting. The only reason I would ever want to stay at this hotel is for a Titans game, and that is what most of the guests were doing. When your team is that bad you drink a lot more!
“Nothing special, be aware of the parking fee.”
I've stayed at this hotel before and chose it again only for the location. Everything here was pretty much as it had been a year ago when I last stayed, the staff seemed bored/disinterested, the room air conditioner didn't work well and even on a dry, cool, fall weekend the room stayed damp and stuffy. The shower curtain rod was coming out of the wall from both ends resulting in being unable to close the curtain. This allowed the shower head to quite efficiently fill the bathroom floor with water. There was nothing problematic in my stay-- nothing about the hotel to make me angry or detract from the enjoyment of my trip-- simply an overall sense that doing things well is not a target for this business. One change from last year is that the hotel is now charging a parking fee-- up to $25 depending upon the schedule at the stadium across the street. It doesn't matter if your plans don't include a sporting event at the stadium. The fee is posted online and at the desk so I wasn't caught by surprise but I heard a lot of grumbling about it from other guests in the morning as I was checking out. Seems strange for a hotel to intentionally create a bad feeling as their last interaction with guests.
“A moldy mess”
Arrived early at the hotel and touched base with the front desk, It was too early to check in so we left our car in the parking lot and headed over the Tennessee Beer Fest. Upon our return to the hotel we checked in and were assigned and given a key to room 352 and given directions to find it. After dutifully searching for 10 minutes I returned to lobby to discover that our room didn't exist, apparently a computer error. Our key should have been marked 351 as there is no 352. Trudged back up to the third floor and found our room, opened the door and staggered back from the smell, old feet and cigars..ugh. Entered, turned the light on to find most of the outside wall covered in black mold. Retuned to the desk and explained the situation. One of the clerks went up with us to take a look at the room, she was aghast at the condition. Back to the lobby where we were assigned a different room, upgraded to a 'Suite'. Well it wasn't moldy and clean but extremely outdated, the furniture was very old and battered and was really sort of a half basement room with a tiny little window with a view of some overgrowth and the interstate...so romantic! While not a happy experience the clerks did their best with what they have to work with and I thank them . Everything in the establishment is well past it's prime. This hotel badly needs to be updated...with a bulldozer!
“Catching a Titans Game”
This hotel is located right by LP Field which is super if you are attending a Titans game, which we did. What I didn't realize was how easy it was to travel by foot to downtown Nashville. The hotel itself is in dire need of updating, our room was old but clean. After reading some of the reviews I was pretty nervous about staying, BUT it wasn't that bad. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The pool was neat, although the surrounding pool area was run down. The breakfast wasn't that great, but it was a typical hotel breakfast. If we had planned on spending more time at the hotel or wanted to do more downtown, we would have picked a different hotel. As it was, it suited our needs for football. Just keep in mind that it is a two star hotel and you get what you pay for.
