Glad my family wasn't with me.

Posted 19-Nov-2014
Pros: The staff was very friendly throughout my stay. The bathroom appears to have been recently updated. Hotel was quiet.
Cons: My room needs a complete remodel(except bathroom)...carpet, bed, wallpaper, etc.
Location: Grand Ole Opry, large mall and plenty of dining close by. Excellent highway access, too.
My room was right beside the elevator door, and was the smallest hotel room I've ever been in. The mattress was larger than the fixed wooden box it was on and wobbled side-to-side while I tried to sleep. Wallpaper was peeling off of walls and baseboards were deteriorating. There was a strong odor of cigarette smoke on second floor that rose into my room on third floor. I would never consider this hotel again, and would never want to stay here with my family.

Good basic, Nothing fancy

Good for the Business traveller who just wants a place to sleep and a little breakfast before heading out. Easy to get to and reasonably close to Gaylord Opryland Convention center. Well priced

Terrible accommodations!

Posted 10-Nov-2014
The first evening, when I pulled back the sheets there were paperclips in the sheets. When I was leaving for a conference the following morning, I heard the cleaning staff say there was a rat in another room. The staff was unresponsive when I voiced my concerns.

Affordable and clean

Posted 10-Nov-2014
Stayed for three nights to attend a conference at the Opryland Resort and Convention center. I was able to walk to my conference without paying for a cab each time. It was walking distance to restaurants and a short cab ride to downtown.

Average but good for price

The hotel was pretty average, but good for the price. Right near lots of restaurants and close to Nashville downtown. Would recommend for a short stay.

Pleasant Stay

Posted 05-Nov-2014
Pros: A short ride to downtown and they had a shuttle service to the sites with a reasonable fee.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Country western museums and entertainment took up all our time.
. Older hotel but very clean. Staff was courteous, friendly and answered any questions we had. Complimentary breakfast was same as most places but oatmeal was hot and everything was fresh. Beds were comfortable and we would stay there again.

Disappointing, not clean, but close to Opry

Posted 04-Nov-2014
What we liked: close to Grand Ol Opry. Price reasonable. Free parking. Front desk staff pleasant, esp Jen. What we didn't like: there were hairs in the bed when we turned the sheets down: maids were disbelieving & not too helpful so I remade the bed myself when they gave me clean sheets; room was in poor condition, sheets were paper thin see-through, no bathroom fan, horrid shower controls gave hot or cold water nothing in-between, windows did not seal out traffic noise. Last year I stayed in the Gaylord which I felt was overpriced for my needs, but this Days Inn was not worth the savings, I will choose elsewhere next year. It just isn't nearly as good as all the other Days Inns I have encountered.

Reviews are correct!

Posted 01-Nov-2014
Pros: The staff was great! Very friendly.
While I had read the reviews online, I thought perhaps people were being a bit dramatic. Nope. They were not. The cleanliness of the room leaves something to be desired. My bedspread had some stain on it and there were leftover hairs in the shower from the previous guest. The carpeting needs replacing and so does the decor. The shower pressure was great though! The staff however were very friendly and helpful. My biggest complaint is the smoking. I requested a non smoking room which we got but the rooms next to us were not. All we could smell was cigarette smoke. If you have an allergy to cigarette DO NOT stay here! As much as they try to cover it etc, it just doesn't happen. The pool was disappointing. It's in the middle of the parking lot and I'm not too sure if the upkeep is done very frequently.

Good budget hotel close to Gaylord convention ctr

Posted 30-Oct-2014
I chose this hotel as a budget option while attending a convention at the Gaylord. It was a reasonable 12-14 minute walk from there and an excellent choice for the price.
