You get what you pay for. Posted 13-May-2014
It's an extended stay, and it's relatively inexpensive. Housekeeping does not come in daily, so make your own bed like you do at home. Most people have a lot of luggage, but the doors are not automatic, so you have to open the door while pulling the luggage cart through. No awning, and the driveway does not pull up in front of the entrance, so if it's raining, you and your luggage will get wet. The young woman at the front desk was very friendly. We reported that the TV remote control only turns the TV on and off (to adjust volume, change channels, etc, you have to get up and do it the old fashioned way), and also, not all the controls on the microwave worked. She said "Thank you for letting us know." What? No replacements? Otherwise, there's dishes enough for 2 people, a big refrigerator, unlimited good coffee, and we had a lovely view of a greenway behind the hotel. Brentwood is very nice for walking, and there's an exercise room, but we didn't use it. The Candlewood Cupboard, a self-service coffee shop/eatery is nicely stocked. The room was clean, the towels are very nice, and the bed was comfortable. It saved us a lot of money while I was attending a class nearby, so this was definitely not a vacation. There's plenty of places to eat, a big shopping center nearby, and a YMCA, so overall, it was just fine.
Comment from Hotel Management
Thank you, Regina, for taking the time to submit your comments and, yes indeed, traveling in and out of doors is much, much more enjoyable in the absence of rain...on that we can all agree! We couldn't be more delighted to read of your view of our hotel, our friendly staff, and our awesome location while participating in your nearby meeting. You did indeed take note of our "extended stay" business model and we are confident you will agree to its ideal serviceability to a guest who might require lodging while involved in training or project related business travel...much like an fully furnished efficiency apartment, wouldn't you say? I do, though, apologize for any inconvenience experienced insofar as the microwave control are concerned! Certainly, you can expect on the occasion of your return visit, you will find this to have been rectified! Please come back soon!
