Nice room, in a great area!

I only stayed one night and wish I could have stayed longer. It's a great location. The staff was friendly and I would recommend to others.

one night stay

Posted 16-Jul-2014
It was ok, it was clean and they allowed us to check in early but from other reviewers, I expected a much nicer area for walking the dog. It was pretty much in an industrial type park so there was asphalt everywhere and in the summer made for unpleasant dog walking. But over all the suite was clean and comfortable.

Thank you for your comments; much appreciated! We do receive a great many comments regarding our guests' appreciation of the nice, "off the beaten path" setting we enjoy...far enough removed to be in a location with little to no congestion, yet close enough in to have many nice restaurants and shopping nearby!! Please come back again soon!!

1 night stay

Pros: I like the quietness of this hotel.
Cons: Just a deep cleaning a new mattress.
The room was nice. The staff were very friendly. The room was clean except for around the baseboards. There was a lot of built up dust where the vacuum can't reach. The bed also sagged bad in the middle. My husband never talks in his sleep, but that night he said, " I'm rolling to the landslide" . A good deep cleaning and a new mattress is all this room needs to get a 5 star.

You get what you pay for.

It's an extended stay, and it's relatively inexpensive. Housekeeping does not come in daily, so make your own bed like you do at home. Most people have a lot of luggage, but the doors are not automatic, so you have to open the door while pulling the luggage cart through. No awning, and the driveway does not pull up in front of the entrance, so if it's raining, you and your luggage will get wet. The young woman at the front desk was very friendly. We reported that the TV remote control only turns the TV on and off (to adjust volume, change channels, etc, you have to get up and do it the old fashioned way), and also, not all the controls on the microwave worked. She said "Thank you for letting us know." What? No replacements? Otherwise, there's dishes enough for 2 people, a big refrigerator, unlimited good coffee, and we had a lovely view of a greenway behind the hotel. Brentwood is very nice for walking, and there's an exercise room, but we didn't use it. The Candlewood Cupboard, a self-service coffee shop/eatery is nicely stocked. The room was clean, the towels are very nice, and the bed was comfortable. It saved us a lot of money while I was attending a class nearby, so this was definitely not a vacation. There's plenty of places to eat, a big shopping center nearby, and a YMCA, so overall, it was just fine.

Thank you, Regina, for taking the time to submit your comments and, yes indeed, traveling in and out of doors is much, much more enjoyable in the absence of rain...on that we can all agree! We couldn't be more delighted to read of your view of our hotel, our friendly staff, and our awesome location while participating in your nearby meeting. You did indeed take note of our "extended stay" business model and we are confident you will agree to its ideal serviceability to a guest who might require lodging while involved in training or project related business travel...much like an fully furnished efficiency apartment, wouldn't you say? I do, though, apologize for any inconvenience experienced insofar as the microwave control are concerned! Certainly, you can expect on the occasion of your return visit, you will find this to have been rectified! Please come back soon!

Best hotel in a long time

Posted 13-May-2014
Pros: Very clean. Friendly staff who seemed genuine and helpful. In-room kitchen with full fridge. Air conditioner turned on prior to my arrival. Kudos!
Cons: I would add an exhaust fan to the bathroom.
Location: The location is about 3 minutes off the beaten path, but easy enough to find. Upscale area. I went to steeplechase and toured some historical sites
If I ever go back to Nashville, I will stay here. The rooms, hallways, and public areas were spotless. The carpeting looked new, and everything looked well cared for and basically new. When I got to my room, the hotel had already turned the air conditioner on (Good hot southern summer day) and the room was cool and welcoming. I loved the kitchen (apparently comes with all the rooms as a friend had one in her room as well) and the full size fridge. If I could change one thing I would add an exhaust fan for the bathroom.

NO ELEVATORS/NO ICE MACHINE ;& NO LAUNDRY ROOMS!!.

Posted 10-May-2014
Pros: NOTHING
Cons: TELLING THE PERSON WHERE THE ROOM IS AT. i WAS EXHAUSTED AND DIDN'T FEEL LIKE CONTINUING A CONVERSATION ABOUT THE ROOM. FREE ROOM...YES!
Location: YOU CAN ONLY WRITE SO MUCH AND THESE ISSUES NEED TO BE ADDRESS.
HAVE NEVER HAD TO ASKED FOR A ROOM AWAY FROM THE LAUNDRY ROOM BUT i WILL NOW.

Dear Traveler, we most earnestly do appreciate you having taken the time to submit your comments and, in response, please allow me to submit the following: As was with your experience, we are most intent in the training of our guest service personnel, to engage our guests upon arrival for check-in, in order to share with each a brief description of our features, and an orientation as to the location of each. We can only apologize if this brief orientation is not met with one's approval due to unforeseen circumstances, such as was the case with you. I do encourage you to always feel free to share any concerns you may have with room assignments with any and all hoteliers for, certainly as pertains to this hotel, our immediate attention. We do sincerely hope you will reconsider, and give us another opportunity to serve you to your satisfaction in the not-too-distant future.

The extended stay format was a little different.

Yes, indeed!! And, to our good fortune, we hear most often of the favorability of the extended stay format for all of the right reasons: comforts of home, affordability and value, friendly and courteous staff...the very important ingredients of our guests' expectations and the very reasons we eagerly anticipate their return!! Our hopes are that we will have you with us again, too!! Thank you for being our guest!
