“Good port city”
Easy to get to Pompeii or Positano and sorrento. Hotel is good service could be more efficient.
“Great hotel not bad location”
We enjoyed the hotel very much. Everything went as planned with no hicups. As many know this hotel is next to the train station which is very active until late at night. We enjoyed the confusion of people watching from our balcony. The breakfast was very good and the room was as good as we could expect. Would stay here again.
“Dirty, Decaying, and a Supremely Indifferent Staff”
I booked this hotel as a last night in Italy before our transfer from Napoli to Madrid the following day. I was hoping it would be a lovely end to a wonderful trip but it was, quite frankly, the worst hotel we stayed in on our trip (although not the cheapest). Much maintainence needs to be done here. The carpets in the room were badly soiled and we found at least some of the staff to be quite unwelcoming.
“Near the train station if you want to travel around, not in the best area of Naples though”
We had a problem with our room on the first night, at 2am in the morning, and when we informed reception they did give us a new room within 10 minutes (it was a serious problem). The hotel says free wi-fi but that's not quite true, you have to ask at reception and you get 30 mins to use a day in the reception areas (you can use with your lap tops, iphones etc but not in your room). Breakfast was ok, nothing special. The location was handy for the train station and bus station, but not a particulary nice area of Naples. There were a few nice restaurants nearby, if you're happy sitting out on a busy street.
“Just say "NO!"”
For the final leg of our journey, we needed an Hotel in Naples that was in close proximity to the airport. After searching and reading reviews, we chose this "4 Star" rated hotel. BAD CHOICE! Located in Piazza Garibaldi, directly across from the main train terminal, it was VERY difficult to get to! Naples is a dirty city at best, and this area was no different. Trash everywhere and it is in a very seedy area. Piazza Garibaldi is undergoing major traffic construction and looked like a war zone. The parking garage is located under the hotel and we were barely able to fit our car down the entrance. Parking is not free, and you must leave the key with the garage. A scary cave, indeed! The hotel lobby was large and pretty, but the desk staff were anything but helpful. Always gave the impression that we were bothering them. The corridors, elevators and carpeting were shabby. Our room was clean but falling apart! Only one outlet which was hanging out of the wall. Cheap plastic "wood" molding falling off the walls. The ceiling had a large, grate covered opening that looked up into a crumbling stone tunnel?! Gooey caulking everywhere, broken hair dryer, poor lighting, no room safe, and a very poor A/C! Wi-Fi was free ONLY in the common area. Had to pay a fee to have it is our room. Complimentary breakfast was fair. Did not dine at the Hotel for dinner but the menu was pricey. If this is a "4 Star" Hotel in Naples, I never want to see a lesser one!!
“Adequate for one night”
We picked this hotel because we had a 6:40am flight to catch the next morning and it was a 15-minute taxi ride to the airport. The room was clean but the carpet was really worn. It wasn't attractive, but it was good enough for one night. The staff was very courteous and attentive.
“A building site Hotel”
We chose this Hotel because we had to join a tour wich was departing from the station right in front of it. We took a shuttle bus from the airport, wich in less than 10 mins took us to the hotel. It was a building site surrounding the hotel. We had to walk all the way round the building site each time we wanted to enter or exit the hotel. Every mornig at 7 am we were woken up by loud noises of drills coming from outside, considering that we where on the 5th floor and the room had double window, but still the noises where loud. The room was standard, not a for star hotel room, most of the stuff in the room where broken or stained. The staff was quite helpful but they speak a little or not English at all. Break fast was ok, nothing special.
“Great place to overnight”
We booked this hotel as a jumping off point to the amalfi coast and it fit the bill. Room was modern, clean and staff very helpful and friendly. Don't be fooled by the outside appearance of the hotel, the inside is modern and comfortable. Naples seems like a rough place, (even the shop keepers suggested that we not to leave the street with where the hotel was located after dark.) but the draw for us was (and in our opinion is) the location, with the main train terminal accross the street, and some great eating places next to the hotel.
“Not a 4 Star hotel !!!!!!”
This is not a 4 star hotel ! The men on reception were rude and the hotel is run down and smells of damp. The location is perfect for the station.
“top naples hotel”
as above the only downside to trip was the beggars which at the moment seems to be be the blight of all european countries.
