“Great view”
We had an executive room at the top. Chairs on floor above could be heard when dragged across the floor. Otherwise a nice visit.
“Bay of Naples”
Very convenient location - only complaint for me were the beds. They were very hard but might suit some people
“Napoli Garbage Problem very bad -close to hotel”
The Hotel is good at a good location in Napoli-unfortunately about 100 meters (100 yards) in most directions the streets are very dirty garbage has been not collected for weeks and months and has a very bad impact on entire stay in Naples(Napoli) We could not wait to get out of Napoli the smell, dirt in streets is very bad it is unfortunate but we can not recommend to go to Napoli unless yoy really have to
“Fine stay”
We spent one night before boarding a cruise ship. Very convenient. Air conditioning was not available and we had to leave our sliding glass door open. The noise was difficult to endure through the night. Overall it was a nice stay. Great view of the water with a balcony and clean.
“Quality at an affordable price”
Perfect Service, beautiful view. Clean, well kept, convenient.
“A room with a view”
The reason why I chose this hotel is the sea view. I had booked a superior room, which I had checked before, is a room with sea view. We were given a room on the 6th floor. Superb view! We could also see the Castel del Ovo, which was opposite the hotel, on the left hand side and the whole sea in front. We were absolutely fascinated. The hotel is in a reasonably convenient location and good area--Santa Lucia. It is quite close to Stazione Marittima, where you can take boats to various places like Palermo and Capri. It's just around 20 min's walk from the hotel. If you don't mind walking, you can also walk to various piazzas or main streets. The main problem we had was the weak air-conditioning. It was more comfortable in the balcony than inside the room! It was only the third time we rang the reception that they sent workmen to check the air-conditioning. It was slightly better afterwards, but to our standard, it was still not Ok. Other than this, everything was fine. Breakfast was good, and eating breakfast in a seaview dining room was enjoyable. The area, Santa Lucia, is comparatively safe. It's full of good hotels. Via Santa Lucia, which is behind the hotel is a good residential area with lots of restaurants, pasticerias and mini-supermarkets. It's quite convenient. If I ever stay in Napoli again, I will certainly stay in this hotel. There are lots of good hotels close by with the same sea view, but Royal Continental offers a more reasonable rate. I miss the sea view!!
“Excellent Location”
Me and my wife stayed for 2 nights in Naples, to visit the city, the Pompeii ruings and spend the afternoon in Positano. The hotel infrastructure is very good, well above the typical european hotel, with Bar, swimming pool in the roof, etc. The location in front of the Castel Dell'Ovo is fantastic, with fresh air brezze, beautiful view on the bay, and many excellent restaurants only meters away. Also, in front the hotel there's a stop for the hop-in, hop-off touristic bus, which we like to do everytime we arrive in a new town. In the lobby of the hotel you can reserve tours if you like to the sorrounding cities, but with a 10 dollar taxy fare you can reach the Train that takes you direcly to the Pompeii Scavi station in front of the ruin. The hotel also has parking (20 EUR / day).
“Good location in Naples”
The hotel is in a great spot, right on the water across from the Castel D'Ovo (Castle of the Egg), which you overlook while eating the extensive buffet breakfast. It is close to good restaurants, including some very good pizzarias just down the block, seafood across the street, and a small area close to the Castel that we discovered the day we left but would have liked to have gone to. Easy walk up the hill to the Piazza de Plebiscite and from there to the main shopping areas and the old town.
“a disapointing hotel”
this is a scruffy conference type hotel with little interest in individuals.Inadequate lifts, no stamps, refused a hour check out delay to 1pm after a 7 day stay. The widely advertised swimming pool was closed for the winter thuogh weather was good and we looked forward to using the pool
“Did the Job”
This place was a little better than "Adequate". While the view of the Bay is beautiful and the rooms were clean, the bed was as hard as a rock and the air conditioning was turned way down (almost off) during the nite. Thinking I had booked a "Superior" room, I was initially taken to a small spartan room facing a building. After inquiring and agreeing to pay 30EUR more per nite I was gladly moved. If I return I would explore other options, but an OK place to get to Amalfi , Vesuvio, Capri etc...
