“very good value for the money”
Staff very helpfull, Breakfast, lots of choice buffet style, fellow guests more miserable than the staff and very rude to them.A little bit noisy when we arrived Friday late P.M. Would stay again.
“Good bet for a short stay”
This hotel is more or less typical of the hotels surrounding the Naples Station Centrale providing reasonable overnight accommodation for the price. Don't expect luxury for this price. The neighbourhood is very rough and dirty and full of beggars and hawkers. Don't know about thieves but it is wise not to take chances in Naples. Anyway the hotel is safe and a great escape from the surroundings. There is no free WIFI at the hotel and the pay for service offered is ridiculously expensive (5 Euro for an hour). This is a major drawback when you are trying to make plans for your visit to Italy.
“Budget hotel - good location for transport connections”
Overall we were pleased with the hotel. Clean rooms, powerful shower although a little cramped. Breakfast typical for Italy. Coffee not good but hot chocolate a better bet. Anyway you are spoilt for choice for good cafes in Naples. Staff friendly but it is an advantage to speak Italian and of course for Naples itself AND you get better service by speaking the language. we didn't find the area a problem except it was noisy at night.
“Very bad neighbourhood.”
Although this hotel was clean, it was not the friendliest of hotels. I don't think the people there spoke much english. Breakfast was very plain, and you were seated at your tables each morning . The surrounding area was very bad, being 2000 feet from the train station. Naples is a very dirty city, and this must be one of the more dirty areas. No-one bothered us, but we never felt comfortable, and did not venture out much after 8pm at night.
“OK But no free wireless”
The hotel is OK if you are spending more time out than in. Feel a bit done by them saying they have free wireless but had to pay 5 euros for 3 hrs.
“Basic but good location”
Basic food,nice staff,clean rooms
“Pleasantly surprised”
We were pleasantly surprised on reaching the hotel - externally it looks more attractive than the surrounding buildings, and once we'd been buzzed in through the main door this impression continued. Check in was smooth, and we took the lift to our first floor room. The area around the hotel is noisy until late evening - traffic and people. Our room was one of the few which looked onto the main road, most of the hotel being hidden behind other buildings. Even so, once we'd closed the windows and shutters, we didn't find the noise too intrusive. The room was clean and comfortable, if a little basic, although one of the shower doors was off the rails and needed propped up by the other when in use. There was no airconditioning, which in the heat would have been useful. Breakfast was included in our rate, and the staff there were equally as helpful as the reception staff. Buffet style, there was an adequate selection of items, and the staff topped things up without prompting. We got a very good rate (around half what we paid in Milan the following week for room only) which represented very good value for money (we've paid more for breakfast alone). If we return to Naples, we'd certainly using consider this hotel
“Will stay there for that price and service”
Stayed in a singe room for three nights, with respect to location very stategic, good proximity to train station and town central, good eatery around the vicinity. Only down side the fridge in my room was not pluged after telling the staff i needed it, after it was plugged it was not cooling and nothnig was done about this. Staff are friendly , breakfast okay. Do not use the phone very expensive Over all for three star very okay.
“Comfortable and friendly”
Situated in a quiet street just off the Piazza Garibaldi in Naples, this hotel is conveniently located for the station, metro and Historic Centre of Naples. It was clean and the staff were friendly. We were on the 7th (top) floor, and while the neighbourhood was quiet, the hotel was not - I was consistently woken up by noises around 6.30am, which we think we identified as noisy air con units above us. This probably wouldn't be a problem on lower floors. The breakfast was a bit limited and the coffee wasn't great, but it did the job.
“OK but wouldn't revisit”
As a traveller on my own I was a bit worried when I first arrived at the hotel, right next to the station, the location is fantastic but the street and surrounding area is rough, full of tramps and policemen patrolling regularly. The hotel is a bit of an oasis in the midst of not a very nice area. The staff at reception on arrival were lovely and very helpful throughout my stay however the staff at breakfast were a little rude and surly. Breakfast was unappetising, the cereal was stale and the meat tasteless and obviously cheap and processed, by 8.30 there was very little left and when the staff were asked for more it took a long time coming and they seemed unwilling to help. The room was very small but the bed comfortable, there was a wardrobe but it smelt and looked a bit rickety, there was a nice tv but the Sky box was sticky and the remotes had no batteries. There was a fridge but it was old, mouldy and didn't appear to work, I wouldn't have gone near it anyway!! The room could have been cleaner, what you could see was clean but under the desk and bed was filthy. The bathroom was a decent size and fully equipped but the shower was about the size of a postage stamp, made worse by the concertinaed door which cut off an extra 2 inches when closed, once the door was closed there was barely space to move which made showering very difficult! On the whole the hotel was OK but I wouldn't visit it again and I wouldn't readuly recommend it to friends
