“Hotel Ideal”

This hotel wa slocated just a few feet from the train station. There was also the most numerous amount of street pedlers i'd seen all trip. They didn't even flog new stuff, most of it looked as if they saved it from the dumpsters. Streets almost didn't feel safe to walk around. And i'm used to downtown eastside Vancouver. The whole city has been consumed by underground construction. new metro? i don't really know. The hotels sewer system was backed up, whole building stunk of feces. The stand-up shower didn't drain fast and always filled like a bath almost overflowing the entire bathroom. Actually it felt more like a closet. The room we had was small, not even enough room for two suitcases. And the maze of halways to get to our room, which was furthest from the breakfast/ internet room. Didn't enjoy my stay, wouldn't go back. Couldn't wait to get to my train.

“Not the best area but a great hotel and service.”

Location of Hotel Ideal is why we picked it. Steps away from the central train station (great for a day trip to Praiano) and it is easily visible from the city centre as we drove in. The parking garage is conveniently located around the corner and operates 24/7. The restaurant downstairs was excellent and we ate there often. However, besides the hotel quality and service which was great, the area was not as nice as the other italian cities we have visited. We wouldn't suggest walking outside late at night, but the market nearby during the day was nice to visit. Overall, it was a very clean hotel with friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff and we would definitely visit again.

Hotel Ideal was ideal! It is visible from the train station and the staff was extremely nice. Basic breakfast is included and is more than a croissant and coffee:-) Highly recommend this hotel. The only minor maintenance issue is the shower head came off but that gave us more water pressure so not a big deal for me. Also, there is no lift but the max flights of stairs is two flights. Very good restaurant right next door to the hotel.

“Just OK”

Pretty decent place. Bed was absolutely horrible though. Great breakfast! Location was so loud that we couldn't sleep plus the A/C either didn't work or worked very little. Staff was very helpful.

“Hotel Ideal is Almost Perfect!”

The Hotel Ideal is located very near the train station in Naples which is so convenient. My single room was freshly painted and the bathroom newly renovated and clean. The front desk clerk gave me a map of Naples as soon as I arrived and enthusiastically directed me to the sights. All the staff members are very friendly, charming, and helpful. A tasty breakfast buffet is served in a special dining room. The bar features free Internet service and is a good place to meet other travelers. The downside? Unfortunately, the neighborhood around the train station is seedy and the bed in my room was small, but typical of budget hotels in Italy. Overall, the hotel is an excellent value and I had a very good experience there.

“Convenient , great value”

We stayed at this hotel when touring Pompeii. It is very close to the train station. Although the neighborhood is not good, we felt ok. We walked to the old town area to get pizza in the evening around 8 – 9 p.m. My teenage daughter was little scared, but I saw mothers walked with baby strollers on the sidewalks, so I thought it would be fine. Indeed it was not that bad as we were told before we went there.

Good location, a little bit noisy due some reconstruction work on Garibaldi piazza. Clean room, furnished by quite old furniture, but no significant problem. Continental breakfast, simple coffee, croissant, some cerealies.
