“In the heart of Naples”
Great hotel (b&b) located on the edge of the historic center. Very friendly staff who offer great advice on the things to do and not. Getting around Naples is easy so the location is great, one of the main shopping streets is just 30 meters away and you can´t hear the traffic. The hotel does´nt offer much, you can ask for beer, soda and so on, but the variety is not great, so stock up in one of the many kiosks on the road. Breakfast is ok, if your a late riser you might not get bread, but there´s croissant and "toast", yoghurt, cereal and fresh juice, coffee, tea and chocolate. All in all it´s worth the money if you are going to be out all the time any way.
“Smelly Hotel”
This hotel is situated in Napoli, not the nicest part of Italy I must say but that aside I did not like this hotel either. I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel either due to the fact that it was a) Not Clean to most hotel standards in this band. The floors were all dusty and had not been cleaned in afew weeks or months, the shower fittings and sinks had visible grime and just overall cleanliness of this hotel does not match the reviews of this hotel at all. B) My biggest problem with this hotel is that it stunk to high heaven by a smell that I have never smelt in my life and am unsure if it was actually safe to be breathing in. It was a mixture of rotten/chemical/toxic smell that was overpowering to the point that the clothes that I slept in at the hotel had to be washed immediately when checking into our next hotel because it stunk of that off smell in the Hotel. I noticed that the cleaner sprayed a whole heap of Glade air freshener in rooms that she was cleaning when I was getting free WiFi internet to try and disguise the smell but there was nothing that would get rid of that smell. I am not a fussy person when it comes to travel and know you only get what you pay for, but general hygiene and cleanliness is an absolute must and this place does not provide it. Ive never been completed to write a negate review because most things I can overlook in some way but the sheer cleanliness & unusual disgusting smell of this hotel has made me want to tell people before they arrive.
“Perfect for a "real Naples" experience”
As Naples neighbourhoods go this one was a good one. I went away with my mum and the hotel was great- comfortable bed and large room.
“Helpful Staff, Large Room and Bathroom, Fluffy Towels”
We stayed at Hotel Correrra for 3 nights in October 2009. We were well aware of the location based on reviews we had read, but it was still a litle disarming at first. Nevertheless, we had no problem with the neighborhood during our stay. We walked or rode the train/subway everywhere we went, returned to the hotel after dark, and just took reasonable precautions that any traveler should take to ensure safety. The room itself was very big and the bathroom was enormous, both uncommon for affordable hotels in Italy. Toiletries and decent towels were also provided daily, another perk that is not the standard in a budget hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly, the free wi-fi worked great for us (even in our room), and the noise from the alley was tolerable and not unusual for Italy where everyone seems to ride a scooter. Naples is an unusual city that is difficult to navigate even with a map, but we found the hotel location to be convenient for the places we wanted to visit. We also found it to be a good home base for our day trip to Pompei. If you're scared of dark alleys and being surrounded by locals, don't stay here. If you want to experience a taste of the real Naples, I would recommend this hotel for anyone.
“Pleasantly surprised”
Arrival at the hotel down a back street and into a courtyard didn't prepare us for how good this hotel is. Virtually everything was positive from the friendly and helpful staff on reception to the quality of the room. Breakfast was simple but reasonable. The location of the hotel close to Piazza Bellini and to the the local train service was also a plus. The only negative, if it is one at all, was the noise from the street which was particularly loud in the early hours of Sunday morning but this is a minor quibble and outside the hotel's control. No question that we would heartily recommend this hotel to others.
“Cute and close to Dante Square”
The Hotel Correra 241 is located on a side street just off Piazza Dante near the historic center of Naples. The lobby was nice and breakfast was served either in the lobby tables or outside on a little but nice terrace that they called a rooftop terrace, but was not on any roof that I could see. Breakfast was pretty basic. The room we had was surprisingly large and clean. The bathroom was also clean and comfortable. The modern-arty decoration was kind of cool considering the historic surroundings. The street noise was fairly loud, but I am not sure anywhere near the center would be any better, and they are adding more rooms further away from the street. There was no Internet in the room. The staff were friendly. The entrance was a little hard to spot, just a gate with an unmarked button. The area was not scary, but the center of Naples is not the nicest place at night. Two blocks to the Metro, a little farther to the cable car that goes up to the hilltop castle. Again, this whole area of Naples is not for the overly squeamish, but we loved every minute. Good discount shopping and eating close by.
“Very Hip but Noisy Hotel in Naples, Italy”
We stayed at Hotel Correra 241 in Naples before leaving the country. It's located in or close to Chiaia area and the port. The ride to the airport was only 15 minutes at 6:00 am. The hotel is very modern, the rooms and bathrooms are spacious. However, our room overlooked Via Correra. The noise from bar-hoppers at night went well after 2 am - no sleep at all before the international flight. The problem is with their single-pane, poorly-insulated windows. So, this room was only for those who can sleep through a hurricane. Another pet peeve - there were some young men (non-guests) visiting the front desk clerk at night - loitering around the lobby, using internet, watching TV. This was uncomfortable. Advice for travelers - come to Naples only to spend the night before the flight. Compared to areas we visited earlier (Tuscany, Amalfi Coast), Naples is not a good destination.
“Rapport qualité prix excellent”
Ne surtout pas se fier à la façade, qui peur faire peur. L'intérieur de l'hôtel est complètement refait, moderne, propre et sécurisé. Une jolie terrasse pour le petit-déjeuner, au calme. Les chambres sont propres, sans luxe excessif, ce qui fait de cet hôtel, très bien situé (à proximité immédiate de la Piazza Dante et à 200 m du Musée archéologique) un point de base idéal pour un court séjour. A recommander.
“Chambre quadruple ?”
