“Fantastic view, nice neighborhood away from busy-ness.”

The view alone is worth the price of admission! I personally like the fact that this hotel is not located near the port and all the busy-ness of this vibrant city. It is actually in a quiet residential neighborhood. That said, one can easily get from this idyllic perch down to the waterfront at Mergellina via the funicular just a quick stroll out the hotel's front door. There is a taxi stand even closer yet. The menu was rather limited but excellent; we found the service very slow in the dining room in the evening. The complimentary breakfast buffet is extensive and delicious.

Area recommendations
Must see: Cappella di Sansevero to see "The Veiled Christ;" truly one of the great works of sculpted art; one of few remaining in Naples by Giuseppe Sanmartino . Spaccanopoli is worth the walk but suggest one travels with minimal bags, equipment, etc. as it is a high theft area of personal-property. The Piazza del Plebiscito and it's church (San Francesco di Paola), Gambrinus coffee house, the Palazzo Reale, the Galleria Umberto Uno, and the Teatro San Carlo form an awesome vista in very near quarters - not all are open to the public to tour, but are worth the time, if only from the outside. Of course, one could purchase performance tickets to access the Teatro San Carlo. Fabulous!

“Beautiful Hotel on Mountain overlooking Naples”

Everything at the hotel was beautiful. The management was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. Can't wait to go back!!

“Not impressed”

Naples as a city was amazing as well as the view from the hotel. However the hotel staff very unapproachable and very unhelpful. everytime we asked help or enquired about something, the response was inconsistent and aimed to make us spend money only at the hotel e.g they wouldn't recommend a place to eat or swim. All the rooms are mainly in basement, very dark and no window, only bar has the view shown in the photos. the food is also not good, we asked for refund a few times. all in all wont stay there again

“Looking forward to going back.”

Although it took us a while to master the transport system near to the hotel, once we discovered the cable car, we were in a hotel that had friendly staff that really couldn't have done more for us. The views are wonderful- but be prepared to pay a litle more for a room with a view. However, they are well worth it! As a base for exploring, it was central to most sights in Naples and the Almafi coast. Breakfasts were lovely and varied. A short trip up in the cable car gets you to cheaper bars and cafes. We would definitely go back!

Sorrento (by train), the island of Capri, Pompeii, Mount Versuvius.
What to pack
Comfortable, flat walking shoes and insect repellent if you are prone to being bitten! You should be ok if not!

“Nothing wrong with the hotel. Pity about the city.”

Stunning views over a filthy, stinking hell-hole of a city, sadly neglected by its miserable, unwelcoming and money-grabbing inhabitants. Avoid Naples at all costs. It's like a third-world Barcelona.

“View is worth it!”

B.W. Hotel Paradiso has the best view of any hotel in Naples, Italy and you can enjoy it from your room or the top floor restaurant or rooftop terrace lounge. Easy transport via funicular to Mergellina marina and main city thoroughfare, below. Staff neither warm nor fuzzy, nor particularly helpful, but for travelers familiar with area, not so important. In the dining room, "Raffe" is a gem! Breakfast is very nice spread. Rooms are very comfortable with water view; damp on opposite side. This was my 3rd visit; and I'll return again, for the view!

“Ideal base for trips to Capri, Rome & Pompeii”

I recommend this Hotel without reservation, it is away from the squalor of Naples centre, clean rooms, friendly helpfull staff (in the main)and the view from the restaurant at breakfast, brilliant!

“paradiso di Napoli”

Camera troppo piccola per 2 persone. Il parcheggio è troppo oneroso E' molto bella la posizione ma non vale il prezzo richiesto

“hotel paradiso best western”

ottima la posizione dell'hotel ben collegato con il meraviglioso lungo mare e il centro di napoli grazie alla vicinanza della funicolare collegata a breve distanza con la metropolitana. personale cordiale molto soddisfatti per i servizi e la pulizia della camera anche se quella assegnataci era vista muro ma vale la pena il soggiorno per la meraviglia del posto e la splendida sala colazione con una vista mozzafiato.

Area recommendations
il centro storico dal quartiere chiaia alla zona museo, piazza del gesù, san domenico maggiore e la zona duomo oppure la zona flegrea molto suggestiva.

“Une vue magnifique sur la baie de Naples”

Depuis sa terrasse et de la salle de retaurant/petit déjeuner, cet hôtel offre une vue fantastique sur la baie de Naples et le Vésuve. C'est l'attrait principal de cet hôtel. Il est possible de jouir de cette vue sans résider à l'hôtel, en allant simplement dîner au restaurant de l'hôtel, fréquenté par les Napolitains.
